I just realized after maybe 10 minutes of my IM's not being replied to......that I had crashed. Logged out and now I'm getting the "unexpected problems" message again. I guess we're back to no luck!

I was in and now I am shut out :-(

I got in ok last night and this morning, UK time, but now I am hanging on preparing inventory....and hanging and hanging. I caught a message from a Linden last night...could have been jill, can't swear to that... who said that the best thing to do when there are problems is to let the login time out. It creates an extra backlog if you give up, quit and try again before the login has timed out.

Hope things get fixed...I am on a rota for our computer, so if I don't get in during my time, that's it. Happy New Year one and all

I'm sooooo glad it's not just me!! I couldnt' get in at all yesterday. Today, I was happily playing bingo when my program froze and I haven't been able to get back in again. When I try to log in, it just hangs at 'loading inventory' and if I try to go to another window then pop back to SL, it's a white screen that's not responding.

Oh well..I'll just wait patiently like everyone else.
Happy New Years :)

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed the time stamp on the replies? Is it really night time already? I knew I had to wear sunglasses for some reason.

Count in me as another one of the disgruntled. The Sims Online has now been
officially dusted off

Ok thought it was only me, It appears the reason I am unable to log in, i get a box that says my computers clock is not set correctly and if the problem persists to contact LL. I thought i was insane at first, misreaing, blind, but t has happened three times out of the 15 lof in i have tried to do. So doesnt always say that.........STRANGE stuff. Just like others I had been logge din this am, made the mistake of logging for a few mins, gullibly thinking YAY its fixed! Am now going on hours 2 of trying to get back in :-(. Can we get SOME sort of announcement Lindens? Anything please?

Ok..2nd day for me..3rd for some of not being able to get into SL...and will SL compensate for this? doubtful. wonder if that new teen grid is another cause for this? This is just getting silly with most still not being able to sign in. Will we ever know the cause and will it happen again?? All I want is to be able to sign into SL..without problems..is that too much to ask??

The real bummer for most is that because its a holiday, they have time to spend in Sl they normally wouldnt.

I just wish they'd take it down completely until the problems are solved...the current situation is extremely frustrating.

Have been in all day UK time - go to an event - crash as per usual now can't get back in. I do sympathise with the Lindens but for goodness sake get some more staff and hardware backups.

I really don't believe this is happening.

The timing sucks.

I'm so perturbed I can't even think of any doggerel or bad haiku.

I'm going to get quietly drunk.

 I'm having the same issue getting in today. Actually I've been having issues for a couple of days. Yesterday wasn't so bad, but today is horrible. Please fix this issue Lindens.

/invalid_link.html mentions Friday morning downtime (yet posted late last night) so maybe that's what it is, but hard to tell since the only SLers I know who I can contact outside of SL aren't available.

Web I'm with you on that. I'm utterly, totally, beyond the point of understanding how they can let this happen on new year's eve. This is a social environment... did they not think that slightly, reasonably important events might just be planned for tonight? As with last night, I'm losing my temper now.

I'm still having trouble getting in , as I was last night....Is anyone else having the same problem? *sighs*...Please tell me its not just me :P

I think the answer is yes and no. I was able to get in earlier (9AM EST) but now I can't.

I assume its the same problem. The database engine is running on 1 leg. This morning the volumn could be handled by it. And thats no longer the case now.

It took me over 10 min on one login attempt to get in, but I'm now in. The grid looks spotty and not very populated, but I am happy to be back -- at least for now. :)

Torley, you mean waiting on one login for 10 mins? I have to crash mine about every 2 mins as it's hung.
