One last thing, the person who buys the very last availible lifetime subscription should get something special. A prize? More land? A sim named after them? Something. :D

Ok, so you guys are saying if my next bill date is the 7th of January and I get a life today, I don't have to pay until the 7th... right?

BTW how many are left?

That's my understanding.

And one less membership as of this morning. I'd like to know what happens, though -- due to the changeover to 1.2, people are going to be swapped to the lifetime. In that case, what happens to the rest of the time that we paid for with our term memberships? Are we reimbursed for the remaining time left on our memberships, or are we SOL?

CODE
integer TotalLifetimeMemberships;

default {
state_entry {
TotalLifetimeMemberships--;
}
}

Compile and save.

If you get a life today, I don't think you'll be paying for SL anymore. :D

Seriously, if you switch over to a lifetime membership,you'll be billed for it on the 22nd, unless you arrange other terms with Linden Labs.

Just though I would add something... or else we wouldn't be getting anywhere!

Lifetime users:
- All pendng lifetime users will be converted on the 22nd, regardless of remaining pre-paid time. They will then be treated like existing lifetime users, with a higher land allocation.

If you have questions about your particular situation, please email us at [email]billing@lindenlab.com[/email]

There are 54 lifetime memberships left.

Personally, I think the Lindens should reserve the last Lifetime account and hold a raffle for it...

Sure, that would be fun to know. How many total Lifetime Memberships are/have been available?

We Can't Wait

Second Life is technically not working at the moment, insomuch as if you don't have land (And I don't) and you want a nice, decent, sizeable plot there is NOTHING LEFT! Nothing except tiny one square corridors between people's land.

SL are fixing this, 2.1 comes out before Christmas, and we get new sims, the new US fees on land held will force people to stop hoarding land etc...

This is all great but it's not here now, and people like me (and I know I'm not the only one) are just sitting here doing nothing getting annoyed.

It's OK that this is happening before Christmas. If it was up to me it would have happened yesterday, but it's OK it's happening before Christmas. Having it any later would be terrible... The longer those new sims stay out of our reach, the worse the whole thing gets.

Now there's someone who doesnt know how to use the map. If he did, he would notice large amounts of room available.
Land scarcity is not an issue. Players unwilling or unable to look for land is the issue.
I wonder if Prelude has been updated to properly teach people about the various map features.
