Trust me. It's not her I'm supporting. It's me. I would do pretty much everything she does, but
a) LindenLabs needs to warn people in a more clearer way when they're going to make massive changes that will affect what I want to do b) There is a significant mass amount of naiviety which thinks SL is going to be built on the backs of people doing things for free or 1$ / hour. People who can not build for themselves are not in a position to be building for others. _____________________

Aces - I really suggest not posting if you wish the subject not to be discussed. You'll find that posting bumps the topic and simply gets it more discussed, achieving exactly what you don't want.
The point here is, before I let this get out of hand, nothing to do with Anshe Chung but rather that we all need to take a step back and realize that our preconceptions about what people contribute or don't contribute need to be challenged. While it may seem to you on face value that a Land Baron might be a bad thing, I think you if you really investigate the facts and understand the various implications, that as long as people follow the rules and don't rely on deception, there are very few business practices which are bad. And if there are business practices you don't like - rather than challenging the businesses, challenge the rules. Advocate better ideas. For example, getting the lindens to stop letting people bid and not claim land in the auction was a great idea. Ceaseless personal attacks on individuals is pointless and will just get you ignored. _____________________

I think it just makes people wonder why you chose Anshe instead of say, a person on the list who had a few hundred referrals more than her. If you truly are just pointing out positive accomplishments of another player, why did it have to be her? However, if you picked her specifically because she gets a lot of shit on here from people, and wanted to as you say, point out positive accomplishments, then it is actually a really nice thing of you to do considering all the bad we hear about her as opposed to any good. So expect some backlash I suppose. But I withhold any cynical judgement and will believe that this is done with sincerity and nothing else. |

I'm a troll because I haven't joined in on the lynch mob? lynching? im not lynching anyone.. i was a baron while anshe was still makeing bamboo cots. i owned a market before anshe had her market sim (she ended up buying my market from me prior to buying the sim) So basically what im trying to say was.. i was in her shoes before she even thought about putting them on. Therefore i dont feel like i have the right to lynch anyone.. but she did help me alot in seeing the errors of my ways that is the reason i no longer sell land. some aspects of it are greedy and inconsiderate. I would rather have friends in secondlife then linden dollars. to me the friendship is much more valueable. _____________________
