I would far rather have to put up with the spam of returned items than the loss of something precious.
This is especially true if you're running rental apartments. Furniture and stuff people buy for their houses is often irreplaceable and the loss of such can cause great annoyance.
I speak from experience.

I know that I always return and only delete by request of the vendor. I am a vendor myself so I know the frustrations of this. I mean its the same amount of effort to return as it is to delete so why delete it? Theres my two cents now wheres my change

From: Aaron Levy It's a freaking vendor! Some are no copy! Don't delete! Return! You have NO IDEA what's going on in the personal lives (REAL LIVES) of people who haven't paid rent. Two weeks ago my wife unexpectantly ended up in the hospital for two nights. What if one of my stalls had expired during that time, Blue?! You would have assumed I don't care about my items, so why should you, right? : hakes head:: I'm not happy to hear that attitude, not at all. I have to think hard about renewing my PLUSH spots now because you have no right to delete another person's property. They are renting the SPACE, you are not granted ownership rights to their things. My sympathies for your wifes unexpected condition. Yes during such a time the last thing you would care about is you vert objects. So yes to answer your question I would think that this would be the furtherest from your mind. and the " Freaking Vendor" if its that important and irreplaceable then pay attention to where it is. Im not getting how you assume that your objects are somehow someone elses responsiblity. Remember I am a tenant aswell. These objects on someone elses land are still my responsiblity. Keep in mind my policies of delete vr return are vendor driven. A result of a negitive responce to returning. This is not done to be cruel.

I speak from experience. Rental properties are a very different idea, many of the objects are purchased from another and would require repurchasing to replace. I also have many rentals as residential. The policy here is return

Shall put it to a vote
02-01-2005 15:21
Only one person in this thread is even a Plush Shops Group member. So for me to hash this out here is just silly. I will however put the matter to a vote with the group. If anyone is interested in the out come I will post it once complete.

BTW Tya's original poll of YES or NO to delete sits at 50% / 50% I first read this hopeing I would get a direction on how to proceed. Yet, as in so many forum thread go the constructive intent becomes lost with the bitterness of "Flame" talk about dissapointing.

FWIW I voted that a mall owner has the right because they do .. its their land.
However, had the poll said "Do you think mall owners who delete your stuff instead of return it are being dickheads?" I would have voted YES

Many people in game through IM and private messages in the forum have asked me who the mall owner was. I still stand firm that I will not reveal who it was. One.. bad business for myself and for the mall owner. I am lil disappointed to see the flaming happening in this thread. There is no reason for it. Maybe a happy medium for both parties is that the mall owner makes up a lil sign.. 2. 1. Delete 2. Return These two signs can be given to the vendor and when they place their objects in their stall, they can place one of the signs.. if they wish to have it delted or returned. This can save alot of headaches for the mall owner and the vendor. Just a thought... ~tya

I think a Mall Owner/Land Owner has the right to delete anything they dont want on their land. If it were me and i had a no copy vendor at someones mall and i was removed from the group, i'd say that'd be my warming to get anything i dont want, deleted or returned off the persons land. I guess it also depends on an important factor of how long ago you were removed from the group. If it was instantly then you probably didnt have a chance, if it was days ago then i figure you had enough time to collect your items. So guess it depends upon how long you had to get your stuff up . But to answer the question Mall Owners have the right to do what they will with the land they pay for.

I agree with Alissa, I am in 33 locations throughout the game. I am responsible for my vendo's, my product. Most of my mall owners know me, and know I will take care of my rent and my things. If someone places their vendo's in a mall, no matter who that mall owner is, it is their responsibility to maintain their rent and their items..A mall owner is just that, a mall owner, not a babysitter. Honestly, I have to wonder why with all the vendo's out there you would even have a vendo that was no copy. As to the delete/return policy, I vote delete, why, OMG! I have enough trouble trying to keep my inventory organized now! hahaha As to Blue Burke...as I mentioned before, I am in 33 locations..I deal with ALOT of Mall owners...many are friends...as to who pays the most attention to their malls, keeping track of sales, making sure I'm happy, making sure the mall is active and as non lag as possible..Thats Blue. He is a consumate business man whom I hold total respect for. This is a game, its also a business for some of us. If you choose to do business in game, then be responsible for YOUR business...just as Blue is responsible for his. Thank you Kimmera Madison
