Does you av look like the RL you?

I have an interesting question and have never seen a thread about this... (I could be wrong)
When you made your av, on purpose or by accident does it look like the RL you? Does it look like the YOU that never will be, or the YOU of your dreams?

Which way did you take it, and why? Just a curiosity...

My family believes that Baccara is really a young (and skinnier of course) version of me...
I don't see it, but what the heck. The only actual resemblence that I made sure of is, (like me) she changes her hair color on a constant basis.

I like having her look the way she does. She seems to me to "fit" her person, something that has developed over time...

Anyone else? Does you AV look like you?

My avatar is modelled after me. I even hired someone to make the av look like me via a picture.

Not a bad job, really.

Hey Baccara, I asked you a pondering question the other day -- and now you asked this! Great.

My previous av (aka Torley Sr.) was pretty much a duplicate of RL me, down to the neon clothes. There were a few hyperbolic touches like the neon watermelon-swirl eyes (as made by HoseQueen McLean ), but that was pretty much RL me.

Currently, I am Torley Jr. She is quite possibly what a future daughter of mine would look like, albeit with paler skin (Mistress, this is why I wondered about the "tan goth", hehehe). I'm of Thai heritage so my skin tone is bronzier. I took family photos and genetics into consideration after much tweaking.

A question for you: how did you come up with the name Baccara?

My AV looks sorta like I used to look in my 20s, though I was never quite that buffed. I was always a beanpole, until I got to be 40

My facial features are to an extent, brow, nose, chin, ears, but it ends there. I gave him a tan, which I have a hard time getting in RL (Irish & Norwegian heritage), he is more physically fit, though I am not in terrible shape RL by any means. Oh, our hair color is fairly close as well.

Well, to answer your question, I think I do look like my avie in a certain way. We have the same dark layered hair and I am quite tanned and have dark eyes and I definitely would wear the clothes that I'm wearing as my avie in real life.

However, I think my avie looks a lot more anime and cuter than me in real life. I'd post my picture here to compare my avie and my real picture side by side ...but ...naah ..
I'm not compelled to do that ... yet

I tried to make my main av look as much like my meat body as I could manage, but the options are too limited to really do me justice. Either that or I suck at av tweaking.

Baccara is the name of a rose that is a particular fave of mine...

Its a small Dutch rose with a velvety head, as close to truly black (from burgundy) as you can get...

I love that rose, and I love the sound of the name. It is pronounced BU-carra, not BAK ara like the crystal Baccarat (or the game)

My AV is much much taller than me. The hair cut is very different. But the face is strikingly similar tho' exaggerated for cartoony effect.

Hmmm - there are some things about my AV that look like me - there is no avoiding it - I've notices there are always some parts of folks AV's that look like them..

But as a whole - no.

I do, however, have an AV that I did model on myself - I just don't use it very often.

For the most part I think many people model their AV's on how they'd like to be.

For me that means wearing earrings and baggy pajama pants -- or alternatively as a young girl with a nosering -- or a large red phallic shaped wizards hat

When I first signed up, my AV was exactly like me - down to the clothes!

I still wear that AV from time to time, and adjust it whenever I have my hair cut, but nowadays my "normal" AV is shorter, slimmer, has different hair and very different facial features. I stil have the same hair and skin colors, though.

My avvie at first looked alot like me but now she looks a character for a story I'm working on. Just so I can have that visual. It helps keep me motivated. I might go back to the other one but I enjoy this one. I bought her. LOL I was looking around a mall and said WOW! that's Penny! (my character's name) so I bought her and wore her. lol. so that's my story!

...and the gender
...and I've never been good at comparing faces.

But my hair really was that long when I designed my av!

I think the only real similarity between me and my usual every-day av is the fact that we're both normally barefoot. The dark red hair and pale blue skin are definitely features that are unique to my avie.
