Because it's more than a little facetious to post first a dictionary definition of a word that just further confuses your point, and even more so to tell me to learn what 'or' and 'and' mean. I was offering you some advice and illustrating it with a point to help.

I voted yes, but it would take extreme circumstances for me to neg rate someone. They would have to be a toatal asshat causing grief to everyone to get a neg from me, and then only after a warning to cease and desist. I would never neg anyone on a build, as it has been said before, "One mans ugliness is another mans beauty".

Though I do not believe in negs, I do believe in feedback about people. And I would love to be able to actually leave feedback about someone sometimes, because a neg rating is just a statistic... it doesn't tell what really went on that caused it.

I have recieved two triple negs and a single neg in Appearance (Someone evidently thought that the magpie was gay.... who is he to wildly guess at my sexual orientation??)

In contrast, I have negged 5 times for behavior. People that have thoughrally deserved it. I also ARed each one.

- One who invaded my land wearing a scripted ... ahem... "attachment" while I was showing some new folks what you could do in SL, evaded a subsequesent land ban, acted like an immature idiot, and this was someone that had been around SL for six months. c.c

- Three for prowling the WA with massive push-guns that ghost you halfway across the world. The first time was an invoncenience. The second time was annoying. The third time was the final straw. All the time he was saying "I just turned 25, I got a trust fund, you can't do anything to me cuz I'll just keep coming back, so go ahead, report me" etc. Got bored of the guy. Interestingly enough, the next day, he was gone... and never returned.

- One for rezzing something VERY, VERY inappropriate in Oak Grove while a class was on. Swastikas are bad enough, but I won't even mention what text was included on the cube, but it would have been quite offensive to much of the population... especially since it was a newb event and they don't need to see the worst of SL so soon.

Blake, I implore you to please stop doing non-anoymous polls. THe forums are polarizing enough without the privacy of being able to vote on seemingly innocent subjects being taken away. People should be able to vote one way or another without fear of repurcussions over a topic. While certainly this is probably not the topic it would happen on, people surprise me all the time with their pettiness - don't add fuel to the fire.

That is another huge problem. I, too, was neg rated by an unknown person, and I cant for the life of me remember why and to whom I delivered a neg rating way way back when I started. A record of neg votes would be very helpful and not hard to set up as a feature.

I abstain as the question is retorical and ambigious.

Blake your Debating symantics again and starting to sound lot like some of the wayfairers that eventually got "Removed" from the forums.

Make some points that are concise to the point and cannot draw ambiguity and close the polls to where the voters have autonimity and you may get more intelegent and debatable responses.

Understood..and even another topic.."Should the forums allow ones Identity to show with regards to their Voting?" Yes unfortunately some may target others that do not vote the same as them, but then again, we see that anyway concerning viewpoints in Posts.

And he is as likely to do that as you are to stop making sanctimonious posts. Got an issue with moderation here? Why don't you run your own forums?

I may not believe in either Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny, but I sure do believe in neg-rates.

I have only used negative ratings 3 times, and all 3 for very legitimate reasons. When someone surreptiously places land scanners on people's land without their permission, or when someone tells a racist joke at Tribal Drums, they get neg-rated by me.

I use them sparingly, but feel that they are a legitimate means of expressing my displeasure of what is happening.

Well, I believe they exist. I have a few, most given by a certain ex-partner and her alts when we broke up... the rest from a certain Land Baron who I caught stealing land... (yes it is possible, or was)
