AFAIK, IRA predates Mao by a good bit.
I think the modern era IRA was formed in the sixties but I don't know Irish History, since well the family bloodline is Scotish

AFAIK, IRA predates Mao by a good bit. 1916 to 1926, after that they split and one half became the Provisional IRA the other, well Fianna fial. the government, PIRA were the terrorists. BTW Ive never been great on history.. _____________________
