My complaint about the Gorean Community

You know, i actually liked crack. I just gave it up after trying 2 times because trustworthy people and publications assured me it would be bad for my health. Now becoming a kajiru in a virtual world ( aka. RP ) does not seem that damaging and could be an interresting experience for a while. If i ever find time i might actually apply.

It is a rebuttle in the context of RP however. There is a vast difference between saying dont bash on RP until you try it. We all know crack is bad and can comment on there being no real plus side to it as its written medically the pitfalls of it and can actually be proven that all crack is bad. People Bashing gor without prior knowledge of it are ignorant basically. Even when involved for a short period to say an entire community as a whole is bad is also an ignorant statement. I took a look at the op's profile in world as well considering some of the group's he's involved in this just kind of makes the entire just of the post Hypocritcal.

In any case, this is something that does matter to me, even if you see it as frivilous. I saw some alarming behavior and something that hurt a friend of mine very deeply. I'm now in a master's program (ah, irony) to become a counselor and I intend to work with people who are trying to get out of abusive relationships. So, yeah, it's important to me

Kajira was explained to me. Obey, address everyone in the right order and right way, show enough fire to not seem dull and begin to like it because of true nature and all.

But as a man this role does not work, and if i interpret normans fighting slaves right, i would be supposed to kill someone, fight for my freedom and overcome obstacles in a gorean setting.

This sounds pretty ardous, although it would with consequent rp give a little fluctuation to the population. Or did i misunderstand something? Any kajiru able to explain it?

How petrified should I really be that my post was taken so seriously?

Does it make it worse that I knew it would be, by the "Forum Defenders of Gor"?

Finally, does this somehow shine a light on the overall intelligence of those who defend Gor in an actual, relevant thread, thus giving this thread a point it wasn't supposed to have?

We knew. Let me thank you officially for reopening the discussion that has become too heated in the other thread with a lighter and more humorous tune due to your not extraordinary but also not unfunny joke.

Still. I would like an answer to my philosophical poblem. If it is in the nature of women to be submissive and in the nature of men to be dominant, which seems to be a common presumption about the gorean setting and among the Disputers of Gor ( could this be the next booktitle? ) i must conclude that a male slave is in this position not due to a leaning towards it, but forced by circumstances and will true to his nature try to overthrow his slavers.

My philosophical problem in entering such a roleplay would be the question why you should submit to someone, if your role demands to overthrow them anyway. You could as well cut the enslavement out and overthrow them to begin with.
