Dissident ) in their country if Bush II wins another four years.... I could see the rest of the Civilized world calling US out on the carpet and reminding us that WE are responsible for our government, and we need to be the one's to muzzle it! =B-) |

Um, small quibble: The U.S. didn't so much out-and-out stage the attacks and then blame them on Islamic terrorists as deliberately make them possible (normally, it would have been impossible to hit us like that -- the safeguards were already in place to effortlessly prevent airplane-to-building strikes). In other words, they didn't just blame them so much as they used them. Osama was actually allowed to live and run free for a very long time long before 9/11 when he could easily have been captured many, many times. Why? He was needed. As far as I'm concerned, Mike Ruppert made that case beyond any reasonable argument in Crossing the Rubicon. Also, it's an oversimplification to say "the U.S." did it, implying that everyone in government positions was somehow in on it. Hardly so. But there were definitely key individuals -- like, for example, Dave Frasca. And, well, the evidence also indicates that Cheney was basically the head of the whole thing. I know, I know. I'm a conspiracy nut. Everyone knows conspiracies only happen in the movies, and any evidence to the contrary must be instantly dismissed out of hand.
