It's simply a list of Bush's "accomplishments" while in office.

Current Situation:

Instead of bowing out gracefully, he is going to screw over the Democrat Party(and the voters that kept him employed for years) and go independant. He is Connecticuts very own version of Ross Perot or Ralph Nader, all he is going to do is help the republicans by taking votes away from the Dems.

Thought of his time in office:

Lieberman should have been independant all along honestly. He went in favor with republicans on issues as often as he has with democrats. In a way I do like that he will think for himself and not just follow his parties motives.

The guy is also the closest thing we have to an honest politician (so it seems). He has always fought for what he campaigned on.

Its a shame he ran with Gore and ruined his career.

Let me ask you a question.

Where's Osama? Why haven't we caught or killed him yet?

Shit, we're still looking for Jimmy Hoffa and Elvis.

Yes, those things are extreme conspiracy theories, but many of the things that Kendra mentioned were considered conspiracy theories before they were realized as truths.

You have a lower threshold for considering something a conspiracy theory than I do. Observations of human nature, especially the tendencey for power to both desire consolidation and to corrupt are not conspiracies. What do I consider a conspiracy? Well, Iran-Contra was a conspiracy that proved true, so was Watergate. I also suspect that there was more going on with Whitewater than we ever found out. Healthy scepticism is a good thing, but gullibility is not.

Hidden CIA torture facilities, I think there is good reason to suspect they exist. US staging the 9/11 attack and blaming it on Islamic terrorists seems far-fetched to me. Osama dead, I think is very possible, but the US actively covering it up seems a little out there.

As far as things on the OP's list, I said many of the same things before they were proven. Maybe I'm a conspiracy nut too?

People called me a conspiracy theorist when I pointed out that:
  1. Bush was going to abandon diplomacy and invade Iraq.
  2. the weapons inspectors, including Scott Ritter said there were no WMDs.
  3. having no purview at Guantanamo Bay was an open door to abuses.
  4. the Bush administration was probably using the patriot act to spy on us domestically, including peace activists.
  5. terror alerts seemed to coincide with low poll ratings for Bush.
  6. Bush was trying to get control of all three branches of government.
  7. the line between "suspected terrorist" and "dissident" was going to blur and disappear.
  8. there was such a group as the "neocons".
  9. the neocons had influence in the brand new Bush administration.
  10. Bush's first cabinent was completely composed of war hawks and oil company hacks, and that that meant we were probably heading for a war over oil.
  11. Diebold was owned by a high donating republican operative.
  12. the gang of 14 would lead to packing the supreme court with the most outrageously conservative lineup, with no opposition.
  13. Bush would probably recess appoint Bolton.
  14. just because they're US soldiers, does not mean they'll always be fair and treat prisoners well.
  15. whistleblowers would be persecuted.
  16. we would be torturing prisoners, I was told no not us, not us americans.
  17. Abu Ghraib was a lot more than just a few "bad apples".
  18. the swiftboaters were probably organized and funded by a right wing organization.

Kendra, this is excellent. I think it demonstrates a fundamental tactic that neocon supporters use (dismissal, labeling, and personal attacks) along with conveying the frustration that those of us on the left have had -- years of concern and outrage falling on deaf ears.

Of the things on the list above, I've always been particularly vexed by the Swiftboaters. Bush hid from service in the National Guard, later going AWOL, while another individual actually chose out of principle to put himself in harm's way. Yet somehow the liar/coward was able to turn the hero into a bad person -- and people actually bought it! It makes me ill.

Considering the state of the media, they'll no doubt report that Ulrika is driving to DC in an SUV towing a Fema trailer behind her to ask that Bush serve 4 more years.

I would almost certainly have to think long and hard about leaving this country if Bush was in office four more years.

At times I think that he is intentionally trying to start WWIII just so that he can remain in office.

If Bush does that, you most likely won't be allowed to leave the country.
