Hmm... interresting poll results... If hardly anyone voted for him, how *did* ge get into the White House? Supports my theory that Daddy bought his election with money from the oil companies and the weapons industy: the players really at the helm in the US at the moment... Who says the population of SL is representative of the US population at large? (Not to mention the ones who don't even live in the US.) In my RL social circles (in Massachusetts, admittedly, not a stronghold of support for Bush), I can't think of anybody who voted for him. I know some family members (outside the Commonwealth) who voted for him, but they're a small minority there as well. If I were to judge the situation just from my personal friends and acquaintances, I would also have to wonder how he got into the White House. That's leaving aside the question of whether there was enough fraud to tip the election. But fraud or no, a signiicant number of people clearly DID vote for Bush. I freely admit to not understanding why. |

The only people I've met that actually voted for him are types that I wouldn't be surprised if they had confederate flag stickers on their cars (and some of them do have those stickers), hunting enthusiasts, trailer trash, those who talk with a C.B. radio accent, or those that make over $80,000 a year who want tax cuts. Then there are the people who are completely partisan and vote and support any candidate that is republican, no matter what those politicians do.

I am tired of reading the liberal propoganda on here. You Democrats just can't accept that Bush won, that the American economy is enjoying unparalleled growth and terrorist attacks on this country have been phased out. Our federal agents are infiltrating home-grown Islamic terror groups and putting a stop to them.
Why does the 'blame America first' crowd want to keep aiding the enemy, even after the enemy has been thoroughly defeated? You guys sure like losers, like Gore in 2000 and Kerry in 2004, lol. _____________________

My own SISTER and my best friend voted for Bush. I wouldn't speak to either of them for over a month following the last election debacle. ![]() If you're going to stop speaking to friends and family (even if just for a month) just because of the way they voted, I'm sorry but THAT is really pathetic. I may have differences with my friends and family from time to time, including sometimes politics, but in the end those friendships and family ties are WAY more important than differences over who someone voted for in the last election. |

That's funny, the only people I know who actually OWN a Confederate flag (all 2 of them) are both lifelong, straight party ticket voting, Democrats. And the only person I know who might qualify as "trailer trash" is a self-styled Marxist, who was a decent fellow when he wasn't going on about class struggle. Just goes to show how wrong some stereotypes can be. My recommendation is "you need to get out more." ![]() Seriously though, meet and mingle with people outside your normal "social ciricles", one of the great things about SL actually (SL inworld, not the SL Forums necessarily. ![]() |

You win the Door Prize for the most thoughtful post on the thread. Here's your door... ![]() |
