Today is August 10.... little less than 3 months from the elections.... Perfect timing
One wonders if this happened months ago and they are just now releasing the details to influence the elections in the US (After all, we did the same to help ole Tony during his difficult election and he won) Or did this ever happen at all?
If this had happened, say December, January or February, or in an Off Election year, I would be able to believe it a bit more than now.
because its happening just about the right time to influence elections in the United States, I find this whole plot very hard to believe.
The World Wonders Yeh I totally agree. We decided to cripple our transport in the UK to influence the elections in the US. |

The Official Secrets Acts (I think thats the name) will land you in the slammer for 10 years if you say one word about things made National Security Secrets etc.
Try again hmm you know that the Manhattan project wasn't all that secret, and its was done during a MAJOR WAR!! Now that also didn't involve the 10,000 people that this will impact and its hard to get 10,000 civilians to conceal something like this. Now if you want to punish British civilians using an American law I wish you luck. The next time you have a thought, let it go. Oh and Liberman isn't in my party either, but nice try.

Frankly, given this government's record of (a) shouting that they've found terrorists and organising huge media frenzies about it and (b) not actually finding anyone or anything, I'm not impressed. Oh, and (c) John Reid making speeches just yesterday about how we all need to pull together and dump our civil liberties against the WORST THREAT SINCE WW2 OMG and (d) Blair facing a serious rebellion within New Labour.

Well, late last night I dropped by daughter and her partner at Gatwick for a flight to Greece. They just missed this mess, by hours - arrived in Greece and on arrival were arrested by the Greek 'Police' because my daughter had several bottles of vitamins and mineral supplements in her hand luggage!

Before any of you get too carried away about all this... all that's happened is that the police announced they arrested a handful of people last night. No one was caught carrying anything on to a plane or in to an airport, there have have been no announcements even that explosives were found in their homes.
So before you leap to panic, construct conspiracy theories, support your government or denigrate any communities amongst us, just bare in mind that you know nothing, not least because so far it seems, there's been nothing of significance to tell you, and really, I have no faith in receiving the truth from ANY of the parties involved.
