From: Yiffy Yaffle Just tested it. I switched my group to NONE and rezzed a piece of my avatar. Imediatly it returned to me.
[14:08] Second Life: Your object 'Wolfee Leg Left' has been returned to your inventory lost and found folder from parcel 'Serenity Woods' at Serenity Woods 125, 123. You're not the only one. Just keep filing bugs. This is at the server level (I'm using the Linux client, and I got stuff auto-returned within five minutes of rezzing).

if you re-set the auto return on the parcel - i.e. change it to zero, close, change it back to whatever, it fixes it short term...
Hmmmm, I wonder if they are somehow looking at time since auto-return set instead of time since rez or something weird like that.

Checked the new 1.11.2, and it's bad. The bug's not fixed.
I'm going to check 1.12 in a few.

1.12 looks to have that bug fixed. If so, hopefully they'll backport it.

Looks like they'll never confirm nor fix this. We can just as well close down all our sandboxes.

oh, didn't see this thread going. It was happening to us in Galii, we were wondering what did we do wrong....
Not good when it returns and you know you have 800 prims still left in your land!!

Maybe set the temporary flag on your object while in flight? That might allow the object to exist while travelling over some parcels. Just a stab in the dark.
I have found, I believe, something similiar while rezzing objects on various Linden plots (and I believe others) that allow building and don't autoreturn for like 20-60 minutes. Objects just rezzed will autoreturn in just over a second or sometimes less, or things will return faster than expected, like in 5 minutes rather than in 60 as the parcel says. There might be a bug somewhere in the server systems that keep track of rezzed prims.
Also, on some parcels, if I'm using my free L$ coin rezzer (rezzes some coins that give people L$1 when touched, then disappear) I would rez coins every minute. On a parcel set to autoreturn in 20 minutes, you'd expect that I'd get 1 coin returned every 20 minutes. Instead, periodically, they all get returned in one swoop regardless of how long they have been rezzed.

Return rules are completely messed up.

I've had objects returned immediately on rez in a parcel with plenty of spare prims and no autoreturn... and I know the landowner didn't have a reason to return it: I was unpacking a box I'd *just* bought from their own vendor.
I've recently had my own objects on my land returned instead of the ones that were dumped there by someone else and caused the return.
I can't reconcile these two events, if there's any real logic to return at all.

Betting money on that the problem is still not fixed in this next update and that we still will not get any response on this issue either.

Same thing been happening to me too while out in various places, but only over the past week. First rez is often returned straight back into Lost and Found, second rez usually OK..... Also been having a problem with objects just refusing to rez at all with no error message given, though that may be related to the absolute hurricane of packet loss I've been experiencing lately

Tested in 1.11.2.3 and 1.11.2.4. It still exists. New bug filed.

I also do know of one--and several varieties related to this. Rezzing an object from Inventory right after teleporting will have it returned to you immediately REPRO: Teleport into any build-enabled parcel. (It can have autoreturn time set to 0, it doesn't seem to matter.) Right after the TP screen, drag-and-drop an object from your Inventory to rez it into the world. OBSERVED: Object automatically gets returned. For example: Second Life: Your object 'Kart 1.0' has been returned to your inventory lost and found folder from parcel 'Zero Point' at Kelham 169, 122. EXPECTED: Object should rez properly, even if it takes awhile, instead of this confusing behavior. I'll post future Resident Experience updates on the official Linden blog. Hope this helps!

It's sad that only lindens can reply to that topic. It's also sad that i've bitched about this since 1.11 came out and it's never been acknowledged until someone else posts about it. I guess i've sent in enough bug reports that the lindens have muted me... -.-

I can trigger the bug just by rezzing anything. I can drag something from my inventory at any time and it gets returned. I also have a shield rezzer. When i click the button, it rezzes the shield and it gets returned. If you rez a chair and somehow it gets by the autoreturn, as soon as you stand up off it, it gets returned. As long as autoreturn is enabled it will happen imediatly ignoring to how long it's set for. Now if you disable autoreturn by setting it to 0, then your ok. The only way around this bug is to switch your group to the group that owns the land. Yesterday i droped one of my furry paw prims on the ground to have someone work on it giving it claws. When i rezzed it, it returned. I rezzed it again and it stayed. The person began editing it. They let go of it and it returned. We try again. He atempts to unlink it. It returns in pieces.

Noticed it happen once today while rezzing my non phys ball. A little feedback from a linden who is in charge of fixing these kinda things would be helpful. Like news on the progress? I've given up building in SL cuz of this and other glitches. :/
