I partually own and admin a sim called Serenity Woods. For the last 2-3 Days since the last update things keep getting returned to people as soon as they rez it. The auto Return time for the entire sim is 300 so it can't be that... I'm wondering if its a new bug? This never happened before. Nothing has been changed in the estate or land dialogs to my knowledge.

Thats exactly it. :/ It's not like the parcel is full either. I bug reported it, i encourage anyone else experiancing this to do so aswel.

Steps to reproduce the bug:
This following bug seems to appear on 'some' parcels having auto-return turned on (recommended a high-autoreturn rate around 250 minutes). In case the parcel is affected by the bug, the parcel seems to auto-return 'ALL' objects elibable for auto-returning after an X (random between 20-30 minutes it seems so far) period of time, despite the set auto-return time on the parcel. Set a parcels auto return to 250 minutes, rez an object from your inventory (Not set to the parcel's group) and also create a fresh new prim. Now keep waiting for some time, hopefully being on a bugged parcel - To make things more interesting rez another object from your inventory after having wait a few minutes. Observed results: All objects from your inventory will auto-return at the same (random) time, despite the 250 minutes on the auto-return (unlike the fresh new prim). ------- I filed this - Been terrorizing our sandbox as well. I am waiting for proper confirmation about this issue, cause I hate to keep cleaning our sandbox manually as it is now.. |

I have a Hut on the Hawaiian Sim and this has been happening since the last update. Only thing that stays are items i pull from the Library and not Inventory. The item return is set to 1000 there. We are only suppose to get things back after a week. This is how the hutts are rented out since rent is free.
I hope this gets fixed soon! Probably this Wednesday I assume. |

I'm in a free rent Hut in the Hawaiian Sim...some of my stuff is auto-returning.. and some isn't. This still happened to me during last log-in July 18 at 9PM SL time. I'll try dragging stuff from a different part of my inventory. Hope someone posts a full solution here though

Great - This issue is still in 1.11.0 (9)
Means we'll have to manually clean the sandbox for another week or more I guess.. |

I have discussed this and it may be due to inaccurate simulator prim counts. I've had vendors returned from regions all over SL. However, my cases may have been due to the land I had my vendors on being maxxed out for prim usage.

Usually the second and subsequent rezzes work OK. I've had this too. Rez an object and it doesn't even seem to hit the ground before it's returned. Most times it takes just one re-rez, a few times it took a few tries in different spots. _____________________

Hi all,
I'm wondering if its the same bug thats hitting me. I have an object which can roam the world on command using Hank Ramos' old HyperTeleport script. Even though its a very old script Hank made, I've had very few problems with it even with the changing face of the SL map. I've had a couple of rare locations on the map where the script sometimes gets stuck and I have to chase the object and rescue it, but it works 99% of the time. However, after 10.6 update (didnt happen with 10.5 or lower) my object is now being returned immediately while in transit from certain parcels while it crosses them. It travels at a height of 1000m BTW, I've also tried 700. I have 2 definite parcels (owned by other people) where I know it happens consistently every time. These parcels have autoreturn turned OFF (set to zero) and have scripts and objects allowed. The 2 consistent things are that it happens on the y=128 axis of the sim, and right on the parcel boundary. Its extremely frustrating. I've spent sooo much time and effort getting everything set up the way I want and now suddenly some update comes along and breaks it. Note, the Hyperteleport script in my object is heavily modified, and there are other scripts in the object sending periodic emails back to a "server" on my home land. I put an older version of the Hyperteleport in a test object and sent it on its way to the same destination. It too got autoreturned (although it made it much closer to the desitnation). the package where it got autoreturned shared the same characteristics again - autoreturn OFF, scripts+objects allowed, y=128 axis, parcel boundary. This is extremely frustrating. I filed a bug report, wonder if I'll ever hear back......... I am really quite annoyed since I have spent so much time and effort on this. Sigh. |

![]() I have a Castle on Group owned land in Butler. I never had this problem before the last update. I went a my Castle location and suddenly a land that still had 124 prims left auto returned something I placed on the property over 6 months ago. They were locked down and I haven't touched them since I placed them. They just decided after 6 months, and out of the blue ,to return to my inventory. I barely dare to work on a very detailed object, right now, for fear of getting it returned while I'm making adjustments. -InuYasha Meiji |

Happening to me, too. In particular, it happens quite reliably when an object rezzed by script is rezzed on a plot I do not own. Maddeningly, it also appears to ignore STATUS_DIE_AT_EDGE settings (so objects that should just die when returned end up in my lost and found), although this is perhaps an unrelated issue.
Very oddly, I also had some issues with unlinked bundles of objects. I tested this one a few times. Select a group of 2 or 3 unlinked objects. Take them all into your inventory at once (they'll appear as a single entry in your inventory, named after the first object selected). Now drag that group of items to the ground on a plot you do not own. All of the objects except for the first one selected will be often be returned immediately. And, confirmed, this apparently has nothing to do with current parcel prim counts or simulator prim counts, as both have had hundred/thousands (respectively) of prims free. The sims in question do have an auto return (of several hours) set, and said auto return timer has not elapsed when the objects are returned. |

I find it 'very' saddening that there has not even been any confirmation about this issue so far - I even had a Liason with me over a week ago now that witnessed it all.
I send in 3 bug reports about this issue and still no response whatsoever, yet we see new updates on the test server fixing all kinds of other bugs. Why the complete veil of silence on this matter? It's a pretty big issue. |

Steps to reproduce the bug:
Take the time to fill in a bug report in Help about a bug you observed. Follow all steps and write down as much information gathered. Then click on the send button for it to be handled and fixed by LL staff. Observed result: There is no result. Expected result: Confirmation that bug reports actually are seen and inspected. With a bit of luck even fixed. --- Sorry for my sarcasm here, but c'mon LL. I know you guys are not messing up on purpose, and that with this release you're probably not even able to handle all complaints and whatnot. Still, I have been complaining about bugs on the 1.11 test server, I have been complaining about a heavy bug (This Auto-Return issue) on the last 1.10 patch and nothing happened.. Nothing was done about it and worse, you guys make us feel like the problem does not exist. You guys want us to test and help - Adressing us to use the Bug Report forms, yet it almost feels like this system itself is bugged. People are spamming their problems all over the forums since they feel that at least here they are heard.. If only by more people complaining to assure they are not the only ones dealing with them. I am actually happy that the servers are down right now - It keeps me from getting more frustrated at the unexpected 'surprises' arising in-world that prevent me from my fun and work. If it were up to me, I'd keep it down until all huge bugs are CONFIRMED TO US and thereafter dealt with. Just another disgruntled post from someone who is irritated wishing for things to change - But I'm probably just talking to myself here again. |

Sigh. This is getting really annoying.
I made some tweaks to the travel script I mentioned, to make it not travel using the central 128 axes of sims. Didnt make any difference. It still gets autoreturned from various parcels - just DIFFERENT parcels now. To make it worse, theres a protected land parcel right next to my land. When crossing N->S across this parcel, while returning to my land, my object gets autoreturned every time. Not just on parcel boundary now, right in the middle of the parcel now. Parcel in question has autoreturn set to 5 mins. My object gets returned as soon as it crosses the parcel (and its definitely not on that parcel for 5 mins). I am really sick and tired of this. Dee Linden on live help promised to look into my bug report so hopefully I'll get some kind of update.... Oh and the script editor is now so slow as to be unusable. And I havent seen lag in SL as bad as this for severla releases. This 1.11.x just seems like a baaaaad idea overall. (Although as I mentioned my travel script autoreturn problem started in 1.10.6 ) Sigh. |

I hadn't had this happen before until the last 5 minutes - the first 5 minutes I've been in since 1.11 was released. It's happened twice in those 5 minutes.
Didn't have any issues like this with the previous version (and I've been building a lot recently) but it sounds like others did, so has the issue got worse, not better? EDIT: Make that 3 times - it happened again whilst I was posting! ![]() _____________________

Just tested it. I switched my group to NONE and rezzed a piece of my avatar. Imediatly it returned to me.
