i sorta did

start with an old mac, drop too much into 3rd party parts, end up with a old mac

dang that sucks doesn't it

but anywho the only original apple crap in the machine is the mainboard, the power supply and the case, almost everything else is ibm compatible parts

sd ram from a compaq (1 gig total)
scsi hard drive from IBM (40 gig)
HP cd burner (old, built like a tank for a tank)
ATI Radion (9550), for pc, with a grey area bios flash
and a power logix g3 upgrade board (bumps it from 400mhz to 900mhz)

its not uber pimp, but it stomped my other old computer (866 mhz compaq deskpro) and its good as a spare in the other room on my electronics work desk
