first of all.. my objection was to Cazzi Opel posts specifically.. but yes I thought your language was rude offensive and attacking too. Enough to merit the close of the whole thread.

I'm glad you are "not scared and not going to run".. why is it that anyone who's asked to be civil think it's a matter of bravery?

I went down and looked at both, some interesting arguments here in the forum, little of them based in reality (or virtual reality).

Go down and visit both places in TulipTree.

Now does someone have a right to do what they want in a sim.... YES THEY DO!!! There are limits on prim set for such a reason. Is it enough to prevent conflicts *looks at thread* uhm you guess

I'm scripter, mostly for club, and i focus all my work on lag reduction.

i couldn't find the bluenote (maybe it vanished ?) but i checked the tuliptree sim.
First thing you can notice is that the sim run under 45fps without anybody (but me and i don't wear scripted stuff). The script time is over 19ms and 1300 ACTIVE SCRIPT in a simple residential sim... so i tried to find the laggy scripter.

And i found it !
I already noticed the maxim inc when i was flying over the railroad some days ago.
I told myself "ho mah gawd !!! this one won't take my market of club stuff".

To be honnest, i never saw so much lag on a single shop.
it was a fast check, don't need to go deep in it : SH*TLOAD OF SENSOR !
And not only lot of sensor, but very fast looped sensor.

There is no problem with big texture. but loading is slow because the whole sim is lagged by script stuff.

That is such an awful flabbergasting statement! Money rules your world Cazzi? She is trying to provide music to others at her own expense because she loves it and you put her down for it.

And it's very wrong. People who buy Lindens are crucial.

LL don't pay you for your L$. If nobody buys L$, nobody can sell L$. And if nobody can sell L$, nobody can pay their tier with sales or event admissions.

OK before you people flog me to death (and beleive me I'm feeling the sting)...let me just say that when I made the statement about buying Lindens I was very angry that my very best friends were being beaten up in game and in the forums. The people with the DJ shop have been the kindest and hardest working people I know. They used to own an island and they let everyone come and build there...they shared there talents and showed me and others how to build, use the templates, make things and make money and they never once asked for anything in return.
Like lots of other islands and clubs in SL...the ppl they hosted and helped started to fade away when things got rough and money was tight, the dwell was reduced to nada. Therefore they had to sell their island and had to rent land, which ended up being next to the jazz club. This situation was not easy for them, and a major step down, but in their usual style they continued to plug away with new ideas to try to keep the Lindens rolling in and stay in game.
Then comes the constant rude IM's and harassment from an entire club full of people, just because they rented land, obviously in the wrong place. This was the last straw for me, for fear that I would lose my friends in game I made the post.

Let me just state for the record:

"I Cazzi Opel HAVE, I repeat HAVE, bought and sold Lindens and I really dont have a problem with it".

What I said was in anger directed towards the original poster...I was simply looking for things to blast her on because I was mad that my friends were so upset. I never in my wildest dreams thought that it would cause such a rash of insults. If I would have known that it would result in these comments I never would have said it.
I have tried to make positive additions to the SL world and was feeling like I was, but after reading all this I see I was wrong. I will now crawl back into my shell and be the unsociable wallflower I have always been.
This is all I will say and the last time I will post in these forums. I hardly ever talk to anyone nor do I post because I find that my opinions, even though they are only my opinions, get shot down and ridiculed as others seem to be able to say whatever they want without backlash. I guess it just depends on the amount of friends you have in here to back up your comments and the size of your click.
I have only a few friends here and I will not apologize for trying to protect them and speak up for them. I will, however, apologize to anyone I offended who buys or sells Lindens and for the rashness of my post.
There I said it, bash me if you want in your replys but I wont read it cause I wont be back to these forums.
And one last thing, since I wont be posting again, I just wanna say to my friends, who have always been honest, loyal and good to me...I love you and I will always be there for you in return.

Is anybody else getting flashbacks? From Federal?

Anbody else find themselves instinctively siding with people who can actually form sentences? Not to mention spelling all the words out instead of using "UR"? Just a thought on the PR (Public Relations) side of things.

In Cleary we used to have a huge set of pyramids in the center of the sim. Periodically, the sim would grind to a halt and lock up, requiring a restart. When I used a script finder tool, I discovered a number of scripts in the strangest places. A set of wind chimes that had each and every prim in it with a seperate script? One of the pyramids had a stack of club lighting in it that apparently was just left on, in spite of having controls to turn it all off with. And the pyramids themselves were awkward with many overlapping prims that flashed and flickered constantly.

My mate and I worked with the owner on trying to cut the scripts down and were able to reach a compromise that held us through until the pyramids person decided to move all of his stuff to a new sim for more space. We even bought all the land from him when he moved.

All it takes is people willing to keep an open mind and try to make things work.
