Well, let's rewind back to the message made about Blaze that I replied to...

That was a comment to attack Blaze's position by calling him names. He was attacked personally, not commenting on why his position was wrong.

If people want to attack my positions, go for it! But I don't appreciate, nor do other people, nor do the Lindens, people attacking others personally.

When someone has openly admitted that they post just to be contrary, or to see how people react, that position is often, by definition a fallacy. You also cannot speak for other people, worry about speaking for Hank Ramos and that's it.

Tell me, why did cubey feel it necessary to plaster "Abbots Aerodrome" over other people's hard work?

I think it is especially encouraging to see that all of the winners have been in SL less than 6 months - the third place winner has not even been here a month. :)

These planes will be on display until sometime tomorrow, so toddle on down and positively rate a few of these builders!

Really, if you've any appreciation for building or aircraft (or both) these will be a real treat!

do you have the exact coordinates of where they are? I'm having trouble finding them at Abbots.

I agree Cris!

Congratulations to Salen Welesa, Kamatz Kuhr, and Trina Strauss!

You know, the people this thread was originally about. Remember them?

That is great Cristiano! KUDOS to the team at Abbotts team for giving new users a great experience and the exposure to launch an aircraft businss.

Now if we could only shore up the sim borders.

Tell me Huns, does that sort of ad hominem make you proud?
I hate to play the pedant, but Huns is not guilty of the ad hominem fallacy here. If he had written ...

Blaze's argument is wrong because he is a crazy person

... then that would have been ad hominem. Let's deploy the logical terminology correctly, eh?

PS: I thought the aircraft competition was a neat idea :-)

Cool event, hope to see more build contests in future (I might try to make something)!

I love to see events that are about rewarding good work and just generally having some fun!

I'm sure we can all agree that encouraging new residents to explore their potential is of utmost importance and certainly takes precedence over ill-mannered sniping and resurrection of old arguments in a thread meant to congratulate the winners!

Great stuff to read about (the contest, that is.) I would not have known about this if it was put here in General. Lately, RL has become real busy for me and the only way I'm informed about anything is reading the forums. Mostly General and Classifieds. Thank you for posting bout this Cubey and Congrats to all the winners and participants. I look forward to see what the winners come up with next :)

When new people are encouraged to stretch their creative wings, literally and figuratively, we all win. When somone goes out of their way to foster and celebrate that creativity, it's something to applaud. Congratulations to the winners. Keep on making cool stuff and ignore the cynics! :)

I would like to congratulate Salen Welesa, Kamatz Kuhr, and Trina Strauss on their fine job in the contest.

This thread is also a fine example of what's in store for you as your talents earn you recognition and reknown. That's right, people are going to fling poo at you and your accomplishments. Lots of it :D Pay no heed, it's a small price to pay!

The talented people don't need to post in the general forum or get LL to hype them in order to get recognition for what they've do.

No, but who is looking to gain a sense of pride by posting here? It was more along the lines of me being curious as to why you thought he was posting this thread in General because of his reg date.

After you post that, do you really feel like you made a contribution by calling me a crazy person?
Yes.

I'm sure you're a nice and smart guy, but really, you need to understand that everything you say reflects not on me or anyone else - but on you.
Oh no!

O_o? Uh... wow. I just decided to wander by and see if Cubey mentioned the aircraft event from last Saturday, and... just wow.

Uh, thanks for the folks that congradulated me, and the others. Really though, there were a lot of great builders out there, with a lot of really nice aircraft. And I had a lot of fun with the event. And I'm sure that a lot of others did too. I lost count of the number of aircraft that were at Abbotts on Saturday but I'm sure it was over 50 easy.

And like I said, I had fun. Others had fun. Hell, I made 3 different aircraft over the span of a week, which is good considering I was in a creative slump before. So, yeah, really, relax, have a nice cup of tea (or caffinated beverage of your choice), and be happy already. Please.

First off im gonna dip down to blaze's level for a moment so sorry in advance

True this wasent "SET" in the Events tab but Heck I never check that pain in the tail but was in the event and yes it was one and was proptly displayed thruout the Aerodome and spread by word of moutrh from there.

Next this thread was NOT created to advertize anything except the hard work many people put into there designs.

Next the only lable to Cubey Terra that was shown was his name on prims creator then the owner that designed it aka the contestent

This contest was fare from the get go by not allowing non DIY textures and prims.
Did not require it to be scripted in the least. So actual flight was optional

The only advertizement to this thread was of the talents of the people that entered.

So please quit going on about whatever Major Malfunction it is you have about Simply Announceing the winners of a contest thats now over.

And on that note...
Congratulations Salen Welesa, Kamatz Kuhr, and Trina Strauss on jobs well done

I would also like to congradulate my fellow Door prize winners Karsten Rutlege, Chase Speculaas, Maxx MacKenzie, Selene Gregoire, Arrai Lobo, Akira Boyama, Mazack Frua, Miko Molinari, and Scifer Fielding

Also to thouse that attended but dident win Nice work everyone and I saw many intresting designs keep it up and dont quit trying just takes practice and imagination and yall got plenty of imagination. Dought me? It took that to make what you did. :)

What happened to blaze?

I don't suppose blaze is Lazarus Divine?

Too busy putting up signs and counting money to post in the forums?
