Who is interested in organising/attending a convention to suit Europeans? Or even just an informal gathering with food and drink? I have no idea if anyone else is already planning this and I'm not the best person to be in charge of it but I'll certainly give what help I can. Of course this means people will see me as I really am :)

If follks plan a get-together somewhere in the UK, I'd be up for it.

What's convincing le to go to NYC is the presence of LL -- SL is a fine place to meet residents already :).

Oh, sure, sure ... I know the drill already. First, you talk to a couple of your friends in the area to get together for a "informal gathering with food and drink"

Then you do something silly like talk to SNOOPYbrown Zamboni, and plan your meeting to coincide with a major worldwide conference.

Then you say "Hey, let's get Philip's approval so we can have Lindens go and maybe speak."

Suddenly, you have a full-on convention on your hands, half a dozen organizers, sponsors, marketing, events, and cheesy plugs on other peoples' threads!

;)

Stilton plugs please, I don't like those Dairylea ones. On a nice little biscuit perhaps?

I wonder if you can still get tea at the Savoy Hotel?* Hmm, there's an idea. I'm afraid I can't get to anything before November as I'm having my teeth fixed over a few months. Of course no-one needs to wait for me but I could manage to arrange that sort of little gathering.

*Apparently you can, a bit pricey but looks very special.

I'll be having a convention with....Willow, it looks like. The rest seem a bit too busy to reply to IMs :) Week of Sept 12th, I'll be in London. Hit me at maxxmonde@gmail.com if you want to grab a pint that week.

Ooh, I just thought of something else - who wants to meet in Munich? I've never been there but I've love to see it.

I would love to come! However I am in the middle of moving to another town and until the end of October that will keep me quite busy... :(

It was brought up in the 'Brits in SL' group forum a couple of months ago with little interest, perhaps not enough exposure. But yeh, I would be interested :)
