Undies!!

OK.. not to "out" my self or anything.. but I made an alt.. just to see what all the fuss was about.. but i have a problem..
She's wearing high cut briefs and a white cami... and i can't take the off!
they aren't skin.. they aren't undies.. they are just THERE!
HELP!

Someone was already mentioning this as a bug in the new preview grid. I wasn't aware it was a problem here too.

How am I supposed to see the new skin I just bought for this alt.. even her clothes look funny cause of it..

Live help told me to clear cache and relog.. still have annoying white undies on!

So after that.. I tried putting some clothes on.. and that fixed it.. must just be a bug!

I think the merging of teen grid with main grid is at hand.

Time line of events.

1. Blog announced as better way to communicate rather than forum.
2. Teen grid sees funny looking sim outlines (see snapzilla)
3. Forum Closure
4. Nudity removed on MG with 1.12.1
5. Blog barracades itself into a family room and doesn't allow any disputes/dissent.
6. TG merged with MG
7. Philip anounces Torley is an intergral part of SL and suprassed him in popularity.
8. ??
9. SL sold.
10. Buyer left dazed as mass exodus from SL to forums begin. Many choose forums over seocndlife.

secondcitizen.com gets my stamp of approval. For example, I could never say #*$@-eating #*$(-muchers here. But SC doesn't mind!

Actually they said that the underwear thing won't be coming out with the patch.

This was mentioned in this thread /108/96/134360/1.html as a problem on the preview grid. I have seen this problem on the main grid however. Here is my response reposted from the other thread. I found a way to get those perma clothes off, and it's not just undies, by the way. My friend had the same issue with the newbie jeans (female).

This is a bug I have noticed happening on the main grid as well. I made a second account a couple of weeks ago, and the underwear was baked on. (A friend had the same issue with her newbie jeans) I finally got it fixed by going into appearance mode, opening the texture picker for the skin (I *think* it was the skin, it may have been the undies picker, can't recall) and then pretended to choose another texture, but cancelled changing the texture after preview. I would be interested to hear if this works for you, if you feel like giving it a go.

Just make sure to hit cancel, and to not change the texture, because if your nice new skin is modifiable, you'll ruin it. Hope this helps.

Given they're already the same grid, that'd be pretty hard to do. The only thing keeping them separate is the Linden-enforced DRM.

No wonder one of the features from there would leak over, eh?

Patches on the undies? I would certainly hope they would distribute nice, new ones.

*wipes the monitor* Or at least a nice clean looking pair. These look like they've been rolled in the dirt.. or worse.

Actually, if it's the patch I'm thinking, you can take off your undies with confidence, it is, after all, a contraceptive.

We're becoming more like 'There' everyday!!! I think I'll try this out for myself. Is it only ladies avs that this is a problem is with?

(Before any of you get your unremovable knickers in a twist, I'm referring to her ad that ran in the Metaverse Messenger for a while. So yes, I'm naming somebody, but only in reference to something that's already very public anyway.)

I've seen this happen to a few people over the last couple months. In all cases so far, a simple avatar change from female-to-male-to-female (or male-to-female-to-male) corrected the problem. For example, if you're female, drag a male avatar or switch the male/female checkbox. Hopefully that'll get you naked again, for now.

Gosh transitioning is so expensive. I've been saving up my L$ just to get the left breast finished.

Easy fix to the problem of the non-removable underwear. Just make underwear that looks like naked skin!

I thought this was just a bug, or a glitch in the new preview... but now people are saying it's here to stay? I paid good money for my skin, and now they're making me to cover it up for eva and eva? It's not like I go around prancing nakkid anyways, but to have the option to do it if I so want to. Maybe we're going back to TSO times and pasted undies, with a blur when we try to take them off

Oh well, I don't use undies that much anyway... But if they are trying to implement this, it's a big blow to the mature side of the community, and won't make very happy customers either...

IF it is true the idea that Linden Lab may be in the transition for a sale would really be going wild. If it is permanent underwear time that sounds like EA could indeed be looking.

Ever since I first tried the preview grid (1.7 preview, I believe) I've always had problems with clothing. By always, I do mean always. All the way to 1.9 I had pants that simply wouldn't let me remove them. They were simply stuck.. forever, and I couldn't figure out single thing to get them to go away. The issue, however, soon reversed itself on 1.10, which ended up with me being permanently naked. Nothing I tried to wear would appear at all. It was akward toying with flexiprims in Morris while butt-naked.

Considering the preview grids history (atleast with me) I highly doubt, personally, that this isn't a bug. Clothings been screwed up in the past on the preview grid, and it has had no bearing on the main grid releases. If LL is doing this intentionally, then its nothing short of them aiming a bazooka at their feet, with their trigger finger twitching.. Sex does sell afterall.

Also, I just don't want Lewis to win.

Anyway, what's the talk of 'group lawsuit'? I'm sure it says in the ToS that Linden Lab can do anything they want at any time, and you agreed to that when you signed up. If they kill off all the mature content and return all regions to PG status, that would not bother me in the slightest, although I know several people who would have to find new lines of business in SL.

No I did not sign up for a "disney" Second Life. Getting naked has nothing to do with sex. I would be upset since it limits our freedom of expression. After this what else would be forced on us?
I find the little brats in the world a problem. In America it is all "for the children."
I would not start a class action but would join one. Wonder how many sim owners would want to keep them in a "disney" SL? Just like America where on TV it is ok to see people getting ripped apart, shot, knifed, burned, etc but show a womens breast for a few seconds and they go nuts. It is so strange....
