Well thank goodness you'll be around to teach your forum children all about it by hiding things you personally don't like from their eyes.

I see it as someone being a dickhead on the internet... plain and simple.

No different from the statement I made on a third party site that a certain community member could end all their forum drama by cutting off their own fingers.

No - I think its the responsibility of the offended party - and the host of the website to do all the working out in such a case.

I think the bigger wrong would be putting someone through hell and dragged through the mud - all because of one residents hunch.


Ask yourself this: how would you (as in anyone reading this post) like it if ANY other resident - loved or hated - friend or enemy - had the power to go through your personal info and possibly get you kicked because of a hunch very little in real evidence?

And all this amounts to such a scenario -- already the damage is being done ... all in the name of 'getting to the truth!' Drag out a persons info publically then say 'oops - my bad' doesn't cut it for me.

i tend to agree, this is too serious to work out in a hunch

let madameg contact the proper authorities and let RL law work it out

that being said, you ideas about certain things and your demeaner in the forums added to your insistance that things be hidden that you personally dont like, going as far as telling people that their opinions are wrong rubs me the wrong way

Understood. Despite having it on good authority that the likely culprit has been identified, I'll zip it for now and see how things evolve. The issue is too big for me, especially since it's calling into question the moderation practicies of a forum, for which I am not qualified to speak.

Keep that thought, disregard the rest, and build on that. If everyone else would do the same, and actually talk to me about things they don't understand me saying, there would be a lot less hassle round here.

Real life disclosure here... for many years an identified problem I have, and am aware of, is that things don't always come out the way I mean them, and by the time someone makes a comment on the forum if they've seen what I meant a different way than intended, it's too late for me to do anything about it because people focus on the response, rather than giving me a chance to elaborate.

My pm box is always open, I'm in-world almost every day for hours on end... talk to me, I don't bite.
