Has anyone else noticed the forums are getting steadily slower and slower as each day goes by? There's now points in the day where the forums take a good 30+ seconds to load a page.

There should (maybe) be a shelf-life to some forums - misc. silly jokes of the day could get deleted after 3 months, or something. The genuinely useful threads get lost in a vast ocean of... hey, what's that smell?

Its been ok for the most part. Just every couple minutes or so I have to wait 20-60 seconds to load a thread.

I usually get very little lag in SL, but here on the forums...well, UGH is all I can say, just UGH!!!!

Nah, they're just trying to make it more laggy so the people who come in from SL feel right at home here.. With the in-world browser being developed maybe we will be able to combine the two lag events together soon by reading the forums while in world. |

Diff at diff times and diff days.. I cant see any special time or situation... it are slow sometimes and it are ok sometimes..
Problems with a correct update of the pages in Mac and safari are still a problem for me.. /Tina _____________________

Strange. They don't seem slow to me. At least not slower than usual. Perhaps it is because I access the forums when all Americans are either sleeping or at work...

I was about to post on this subject..but I used my wicked search-fu and stumbled in here. (ok, maybe it just showed up when I entered GT)
I also get random s l o w n e s s while surfing the forums. Not all the time, just seems to get bogged down once in a while. Today I'm at work and had been reading when I was called away to do some "real work" (dang I hate that...). When I came back 2 hours later, it was changing pages at an "Icebergian" pace. So if yer squatting in the forum all day, that might be doing it. Maybe close and reopen yer browser, see if that helps. *shrug* |
