Amazing how this works, I made a flexiprim bullwhip scripted with anims and decided would be good to integrate with a certain vendors peoducts and showed him my work and discussed integrating it with his products per an arrangement they have posted in their shop, while waiting to get the info I need in order to integrate my whips lo and behold they have a brand new product- wanna guess what it is?

A flexible elk-hide flogger?

Well, assuming they are not going to message you soon and say, "OK, I managed to get the product in myself, so here's what you do now to get the proceeds," or something like that . . .

Assuming something like that is not the case, I would say people who do "business" like this will not do business very long in SL, if it's any consolation.

I realize it's easy to assume and probably feels like crap. But considering that just about everyone is jumping on the flexprim bandwagon and (i'm only guessing at which vendor you're talking about) that kind of item is the bulk of their business. Is it possible maybe that they were already working on an animated bullwhip before you tried to contact them? I'm not negating your feelings here sorry, only suggesting another possibility.

While I have no real idea what happened, the story so far does not support that:

They 'talked about it', and this says that he had an open discussion and did not advise her that he did not need her item, since it was already in the works.

While we do not know what was said, it still seems that she was not informed of the 'other' product. This lead to the issue at hand.

It is unfortunate that the OP chose to come to the forums rather than talk to us directly about this issue. Had she looked around our store the night she came to discuss her possible partnership with us on her item, she would have noted that we already had our two flexible whips AND the flexible flogger fully complete and on the wall for sale. We, in fact, had them prepared to go weeks before 1.10 went live and shipped all three of those items that same day of the patch. The fact that I waited this long to promote the flogger on the forums was my own decision, as for the whips, if you look back at this thread, you'll see it was posted on May 24th, the day of the patch.

To sum up, all three items in question were complete and for sale days before I'd ever talked to Ms. Rainbow, and it very much saddens me that rather than talk to us about this issue, she chose to run out and air it on a public forum.
