if you consider that statistically 65% of any given population is unable of creativity and just wish theyr tomorrow will be the same as theyr yesterday. Given that this percentage of humanity is always whining and following the mass like stupid sheeps, i am not really surprised by the constant whining thats some are able to express for whatever reason -_- on this forum

of course ^_^ members of this brainless mass will tell me that i am the idiot and that they are worth of the same treatment as any other ^_^

i am not being hatefull, i just make a statement

When upgrades don't go exactly as planned and when people have client problems, it causes pain. Which makes for some angry posts now and then.

Seems to me if people are feeling "pain" because SL isn't acting perfectly, then they may want to consider how much emotional investment they have in it.

Worked for me all day, logged out and back in and had to try a couple times to get the patch, once I got it my cache quit forgetting textures I had just been looking at, and it's running normal/fine for me now...

Enabran, I'm sorry to hear that - God only knows who 1.7's been with, she's been stress-tested and had tons of people in her; I would see a doctor immediately.

One thing about pain... I've found... :)

If you have pain, it helps to explain the pain so even if you can't be cured, others will understand better about what's going on with you. Communication is so essential. I feel a lot better at present being able to reach towards explaining things more fully.

So when things go wrong for me, I'm quick to list what info I already know, specifics I've gathered, and things I'm curious to learn about so that hopefully improvements can be made in time. It is because of this that despite the hardships I've gone through, I've been able to live a happier life—and Second Life—and hopefully continue to share this joy with my fellow Residents here.

When time is tight, this online world expands, and there's so many people that need help, those who can explain the pain will ultimately help themselves and others prosper.

Kind of like what I was taught about offline emergencies... in a disaster, stay calm as you can. Panicking compounds problems and the fear effect spreads. On the other hand, if you're in a difficult spot and can confront it with confidence, it contradictingly (and this is why I embrace contradictions) shows your mastery over controllable situations.

In a way, and I'd better mark this for referring to later (2086), difficulties like SL problems are really a psychological test on a primal level, that, channeled through technology, show who our personalities really are as people. How we react says a lot about each one of us. :)

I'm thankful we're here, talking at all, really. It could be like that Twilight Zone episode where the guy loses the power of language.

*huggerz* to you all and hope the next few days will get better and better. :D

Recent hurricanes have taken peoples homes, lives of loved ones, jobs, etc. I'm personally not so affected by a rezzing problem in an online game to make me spend valuable life time complaining...but that's just me.

It'll be fixed. Relax, have a drink...and just chill.

I feel for people who have lost homes and loved ones. But I'm still paying a $125/mo tier and would like SL to be at least somewhat playable.

THERE we go! :)

FireAlarm, that helps explain the pain of where you're coming from (and I mean that loosely, in a colorful way). Your first post in this thread was so brief, and while brevity has its merits, it really helps to know what your situation is and why you feel this way.

Man, I'm paying $2.67 a gallon for gasoline. I would like for my car to never, ever breakdown. I mean, I'm paying enough for it! Sheesh!

Since I'm paying $195/mo does that mean my feelings trump yours?

Good. Then let me give you this bit of advice, since I've been throught 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6 and now 1.7:

Relax - everything will be fine. Oh, and be super glad it wasn't the 1.2 roll-out. Trust me.

I grow fond of these precious, precious anti-patch threads.

Give it another 24 hours, and we will have the more severe "quitting" threads. heheh

I am no longer surprised at the boundless human capacity to whine.
Nor am I regarding meta-whining :p

Oh well. You can complain but it won't make Linden Lab jump up and press the magic fix button they have hidden under a chair =)

Agreed - but it MIGHT make them think twice before releasing a point update with such massive flaws again...

After all, 1.7 was meant to have been exhaustively tested on the preview grid, wasn't it?
