This problem never should have made it to production. Applying such a large update to the full grid (compared to the preview grid) seems to have caused unexpected results. Like you said, though, I would have thought something that causes such a large-scale problem would have been fixed post-deployment  |

This UPDATE is yet more proof that this software has yet to reach true GOLD status and remains mired in the depths of bug-ridden, ill-prioritized, barely understood development.
TG I no longer pay so much as $5/mth for the privilege of testing commercial software such as this. I wised up a while ago. |

I'm becoming firmly of the mind that Linden Lab should close the grid for 24 hours on patch day. Let everything shake out and then, if it's looking solid, let folks in. The whining is so exhausting every time we have a major update. _____________________

There are a lot more ppl now then there were a year ago. I know they are just venting their fustration. It doesn't help matters to tell someone upset to shut up. If you find you cannot take reading one more post without coming off as angry or resentful. Then please just stop reading the forums. Ppl are going to vent, as paying customers in this business of LL they have every right to.

One thing I learned from working in healthcare was that when people sound angry, they are often not speaking out of anger but out of pain. When upgrades don't go exactly as planned and when people have client problems, it causes pain. Which makes for some angry posts now and then. All we think about every single day here at Linden Lab is how to make Second Life better for all the Residents. So when someone is angry and speaking out of the pain of technical problems, we simply work as hard as we can to resolve things.
