Why don't you post what your event was?
If it didn't follow the event rules, like the majority of "commercial" events, you have no valid complaints.
Nice to see LL finally getting off their arses and cleaning up the event calendar.

I would be happy to respond to this

First off, this posting is intended to be constructive, not destructive.
I appear to be one of the offenders in the police blotter and I did receive an email warning this morning.
I have been posting my events since I created Aotearoa/ New Zealand since january 5x a day since JANUARY.
I have had VERY MUCH positive feedback from many people who have come to these events. Saying "Thank you" and how "it is nice to see something so different listed in the events".
"...rated you positively: really enjoyed yor NZ pavillion! really educational, thanks"
"...rated you positively: really really beautiful museum at Aotearoa museum

Thank you."
"...rated you positively: really enjoyed yor NZ pavillion! really educational, thanks"
"i randomly found your New Zealand area and let me just say WOW, as a kiwi i'm so proud to come here and see something like this."
"...rated you positively: really really beautiful museum at Aotearoa museum

Thank you."
"hi! your New Zealand exhibition looks great! very organized, and many texts up, very detailed"
"Hi Luthien. You have done such a great job with the Aotearoa Pavilion that you make me homesick. And I live here! Great to see someone educating oters about beautiful NZ."
"It is nice to see something different int he events listing for a change apart from all the usual sex crap."
"Your place is very beautiful. Youve done a great job"
To name a few..
1) My event hosts itself, that is why it is called an INTERACTIVE pavillion, it was purpose built for this as I work 13-14 hour shifts and am often called back into work.
2) I posted my event 5 x a day as stated above since January, this is in order to cater to not only those people on the North American continent but also those in other countries, in other hemispheres, hence the even-ish time intervals between event postings. There are more people on this planet other than people who live in North America.
3) I had NO idea this would be considered spam, and if it is considered spam, why did I never hear from even one Linden about this?
4) I have had several Linden's visit my pavillion, and nothing was said to me online OR in email to date regarding this being spam.
I have never received any complaints from Linden lab about my events posting until today.
During the course of this last week I posted events for Aotearoa/NZ 2x a day and Lothlorien 3x a day, I noticed these had been deleted. I contacted a Linden and they could not shed much light onto it. I had posted a commercial on under commercials, so I realized this must not be allowed. So I changed my posting to be non-commercial in nature for Loth, and those wer deleted also. I again contacted a Linden who asked me if they had certain characteristics, which theydidn;t, and they could not help. Yesteray I reposted my Aotearoa / New Zeland events along with a couple of Loth postings, I came home and found them deleted all but ONE Aotearoa/NZ event. SO again I icontacted a Linden. Thier advice to me was to repost them as "mature". I told them my events were in no way shape or form "mature". They said i should email support at lindenlab, and that a girefer may be doing it. I asked how a griefer could delete event postings. Anyway I told the Linden i would ring the office on Monday mornign and floow thier advice. SO I was too tired and did not repost my events as mature and I went to bed leaving just the one Aotearoa/ New Zealand posting on for today and the following two days.
And just for the record, i alway post classifieds also for my stuff very regularly. Just in case any one reading this thinks I do not.
I arose this morning to be greeted with my only event posting left for the following three days deleted, an IM from a friend telling me to read this forum, and an email from Linden lab stating a warning for spam.
Do they use some kind of mass button or keyword system to find events? There was no duplication left on there, so why were these events cancelled?
It might be an idea if LL could remove the "commercial: section in the events posting that may stop some of the confusion that i am sure is going on where that is concerned.
Linden Lab needs to cater to people who work fulltime + for a living as well as those who live inworld 24/7
Linden Lab could perhaps cater to people who are not just on the continent of North America more,ie: taking world-wide time zones into consideration, although I am aware that probablythe majoirity of users log in under North American times etc.
As an aside when i was building thisPavillion, I contacted Philip Linden and explained what I was building, and suggested it might be anice idea if there oculd be a mosaic fesitval (a cultural festival) held each year in SL, to encourage people from all over the planet to make like minded places of information on where they are from to put on display. he thought it was a good idea and passed this information onto Robin Linden.
Here is a copy of the event I have been posting since January.
