The Force ...

Is like Duct Tape ..

Its dark on one side / light on the other

And holds the universe together.

.................

Go to home depot and buy more duct tape.

Sheesh! That's as old as the first Star Wars movie! :p

I think a fundamental problem with Yoda is he wasn't cloned, nor were there more of his species.

And he gets off on making others feel stoooopid.

I believe there was "Yaddle" in the Phantom Menace, another of Yoda's kind on the Council. The only problem with Yoda is that he was the only bada$$ Jedi towards the end of the Old Republic era. Ok, maybe he was the only bada$$ Jedi who did not get chumped by Vader or Palps.

EDIT: This should maybe be moved to a new thread if discussed further.

I reserve judgement until the OP either uses emoticons or further clarifies the intention of this thread. :)

Maybe one of the easiest ways to tell a flimflam story in SL is when someone claims, "But I WAS sitting and I still got pushed 10000 m away!"

I swear, I was on a plywood cube, got smacked by this super secret lightsabORRRZ, and wound up in World of Warcraft. :D

While I understand the frustration of Christopher Black and Marcus Moreau, I felt it only right that I give a quick insight to things from the Sith Perspective.

First and foremost, not all Sith groups are the ones who go out and grief, and while we have attempted to curb this, no group has ever really full control over the actions of their members. I have seen Jedi belonging to groups grief with more intensity than any Sith player, and I've seen the same individuals join other side-groups or what have you and cause problems.

Before we are all lumped into the category of 'problematic', and realizing that this post is rather old, I wanted to address our positions on things.

-First, it is a standard rule in our group that a member is not to grief the Jedis of ANY group, nor is it something that I personally would wish. It is my hope we can establish a better RP dialog than a flamewar on a board. I am not suggesting that Christopher doesn't have a point, far from it: He has a big point. There are been problematic members of the Sith who have seemingly only joined to be what they consider 'The Bad Guys', which they interpret as a carte blanche to act like adolescent children.

-Second, We all accept that Second Life is just that, Second LIfe, and a game. As such, some people would rather play the villains than the heroes. It isn't a personal decision that extends out of the game. I know that there have been a lot of claims laid down one way or the other regarding the reasons people play the Sith. I like Darth Vader, it doesn't mean I plan to launch myself into a fight to lose most of my limbs and wear a portable respirator.

-Third, there are a number of Sith groups on SL, with different motivations and/or purposes, and I think that to lump us all together is not a way to go. I've been to the Jedi Temple in both of its incarnations and the new Jedi Sim (Very nice BTW!). I've never sought violence, and I've always gone officially and in RP mode. I don't think that the Sith are problematic, I do think there are people who have an idea about it that are.

At any rate, I understand your frustration and points, and I would hope that you would be willing to address them in the future with officers and ranking members of the group, as we are trying, at least in our group's reorganization, to let us know when you encounter a problem Sith before all hell breaks loose.

Again, my two cents
