your = possessive pronoun (denotes ownership)
you're = contraction (you are)

We have perhaps misunderstood each other. I appreciate that you may well give of your time in First Life. Well done. Perhaps you could consider that when I talk about helping people here it isn't just about getting boxes off people's heads (though that is a small kind service to render). Though I'm not yet a Live Helper I do assist where I can and I find that in many cases the person concerned needs more than the immediate problem would suggest. I'm not going into details about it so please don't ask.

I don't think that just because a person is 'rich' they don't deserve my help or my time. I also don't consider myself a 'sucker' for volunteering to help with what ideally would be a company task. It's not as though I'm blind to the fact of this being a business :)

As for doing good works in RL - it would be wrong of you to assume that I do not. It would also be wrong of you to assume that I am capable of doing so, or don't need help myself. So we have both been at fault in our assumptions.

Wow I am sure there are som Fortune 500 companies looking for volunteers. I have some names at IBM that are always looking for free labor. I am sure IGE could use some free labor for their sweatshops. Give them a call too.

My only assumption is that working for a business for free is a fools game. Most people would agree, unless they are on black tar heroin or have drank the kool-aid.

Your entirely correct and I applaud you're pointing this out :)

I have purposly lost customer's data on hard drives with a low level format just because they were being a prick to me or my co-workers. I have purposly ran floppy disks past HDD magnets to wipe the data. All untraceable by normal methods, and with a company policy that tells their customers that they are not responsible for the data.....

This is prime example of why I have had to 1> learn how to fix my own vehichle, and keep it running more or less myself,
2> Build config and repair my own computer systems

I dont always have to actually DO these things, but I make damned sure I research enough about what I need done to know when someone is really stepping on his dick with me.

I also always make sure if I DO have to have something worked on, that I get the name of the exact person(s) who did the work. that way if they decide to do the above for what ever reason or any example even remotely close to it, they lose their job.

I agree its pointless to whine about this patch, but on the other hand, I also think that a lot of these threads bring up valid issues with the timing, and problems with the recent patch, and that I am more accustomed to putting up with this kind of stuff in a beta test, not a product I PAY for.

I also think that LL should possibly consider some small way to at least show they appreciate the PAYING customers who have stuck with them thru all this and other updates, hell give the store owners some L$ or something extra, I mean I for one have not been able to go to ANY stores period since the patch and there are things I wanna buy!

Fuzzy thoughts =)

Oh dear, you're not even trying to understand my point of view.
