Imcompitant Security at the clubs !!!

It has cme to my attention that there is alot of these "Griefer Ban Networks" that ppl are gettin put on by ppl just because they are busy or tired of ppl Iming them about stuff like invisible weapons. I mean really guys you are so worried that people are goin to attack you place of business that your hiring just anybody and telling them your security and what you say goes. I was a security person at a very well traveled club and I was very polite to the ppl i didnt follow them around and harrass them, I would IM them and give them time to respond even if they was particpating in the conversation in the room! It might be ten minutes later before they responded but non the less while I was on duty we had no problems that created Drama or lost businees for the owner! Now back to the "weapons" these so called security ppl get all bent outta shape over the hidden weapons that they forget if somebody has it hidden its not because they are gonna attack the place, (I mean how many times have you had somebody come in with hidden weapons and do someting that killed the sim?) the people on the detail need to just look for ppl that are suspect and if you dont know how to tell if a person is acting suspect then you really dont need to be on security!! I personally have stuff in my inventory that all i would have to do is drag to the ground a touch it and tp out
, but i wouldnt do that at anybodies business, its just for those annoying teenagers at Weapons Testing that like to grief the minute they visit SL Exchange!! Gee, since I don't OWN any weapons, and no-one I know is one of the stupod GAMERZ and goons who play with such nitwit toys, I can't say that's ever happened to me.

And anyone who feels the need to carry hidden weapons is either a poseur trying to make himself look macho or a dimwit who doesn't deserve to be ALLOWED to associate with anyone civilized.

And since you're a FORMER security guard for one of these clubs, I gather you got your butt fired for not doing your job well. Too damn bad.

I don't understand why anyone would carry an invisible gun. (Note how I didn't say "weapon" there.) I mean, either you have it out and visible so that people can say "whoa look at your gun you're so cool and macho", or you have it in your inventory and you can draw it in a second or two.

Didn't Nick Nolte have an issue with his balls a while back? I could have sworn that there was a headline that read "Nick's Nuts" in the local paper a few years ago.

Anyways, it's pertinent, because folks who carry around bombs, nukes, C4, etc... well... it's all about virtual cojones anyways.

Just a note on the Invisible Gun thing: Some guns come with a holster and a gun that you attach to your hands. Then you can 'draw', which makes the gun in the holster disappear and the one in the hand appear. In this isntance, there's no malice intended.

Well you see Merlyn you dont own a gun and the quality guns that are made have a hlster that you wear and the actual gun, so when you draw you gun it looks like its out of the holster and in your hand. Now to address the statement of why im no longer a security person(notice i didnt say guard) i actually left on my own, didnt get fired, I had a personal issue with another member of the staff so I turned in my resination.

As for the cookie ya know what gimmie a cookie and Ill shut the hell up for atleast a minute or two!! rofl

My point is this Im tired of incompitant people running around in the world pretending to be a security person, when they have no idea how to present themselves! Im sure everybody has seent the security at various R/L establishments they dont go around harassing somebody because they see bulge in their clothing, yet in the S/L world if somebody chooses to wear guns they are expected to detach them all the time. I mean i would rather see ppl wearing guns and have the security ppl keepin an eye on them than all of these xcite, and other types of genitalia!! Atlest you know if somebody has a gun on they arent gonna take shit from anybody! Just some food for thought (thinks about them cookies) if you have weapons and agree that you should be able to carry them wherever you do just let me know cause hell now you can get a concealed weapon permit in the real world, why not here too I mean wouldnt be hard for somebody to set up a system to do checks with LL
Seems that the businesses can contact LL and get info why not set it up where you can contact them and for a legitament reason get a background check done and then either deny there request or apporve and if they are ever caught abusing the system revoke their rights to carry and notify the didferent place that agree to accept the license so they can be sure to let there staff know hey this guy has his /her gun right revoked!

I never understood the points of having guards in clubs armed or unarmed. Most of the one's I've seen just like to walk around carrying their weapons, thinking they look like badasses. What good does it do to have armed security guards against armed griefers when all you really need is a group officer on the land who can boot and ban? A "security guard" can't ban someone, all they can do is shoot back and cause more problems. There are scripts the owner can set up to allow others to boot and ban, but again if you have that, then what need do you have for weapons?

We have a very simple policy on both the sims I help run. Officers are security, we have no need to "hire". I personally have a no drawn weapons policy. You can wear any dam thing you like in a holster, or on your back, or on your head for all I care. If you like it as an accessory great, if you use it as an actual weapon, you don't get to come back.
