Nope, don't use them. Fly away from the bandwith-hoggy hub and to my destination asap.

Nobody in *4* pages has spoken up in support of telehubs? Seems telling to me. What has happened to the kneejerk contrarianism of the forums?? Jeska, Jesse, and Path have done their jobs too well! People are AGREEING for cripes sake.

I for one welcome our new forum brainwashing overlords. :D

Nope, I allways have a destination in mind when I teleport.

Maybe its this. . .

1. If no well seasoned player shops at the hub malls; then

2. Hub owners make their money off poor unsuspecting brand new players and their first stipens of cash.

3. Hub owners make their money off of the well seasoned players who are putting up shops to get the unsuspecting brand new player?

Sounds like a triple edge sword to me? Ouch I hurt myself thinking that one out.

Sure, if by "shop" you mean "fly straight up and get as away as soon as I can move".

Otherwise, nope, not unless my destination happens to already be there.

I never randomly teleport into a hub unless I'm exploring, and if I'm exploring, I'm definitely not looking for stores.

(b) even though it annoys 95% of users, enough people still buy that it makes it worthwhile. I called this "land spam"; spam works on the same principle. You'd think that nobody would buy spammed products, but enough actually do that it's profitable.

The only reason that is true is because it is insanely cheap to spam people (often by using means that are less than legal). The more expensive spamming is made, the less viable it is as a model, just like any other form of advertisement.
