Yeah, the boobs scare me :p No, what I am objecting to is seeing 50,000 of them in a row. Teleport to the plot of land in this picture and then tell me that is not a problem for the people who own land around there. They are ugly as hell, and there is a sea of them. This isn't the first plot of land I have seen with them all around. I have seen houses surrounded by them as well. I am not suggesting they should be removed, but they certainly do not make the areas that are spammed to death with them pleasant to look at.

I guess I'm really confused, cause there is one prim per plot for sale, sitting on the ground, so they don't block views. The prim is 3x3x3. And the plots are priced within reason. She sells her plots for around 6L per meter, so as soon as people move in, the for-sale signs go away. I think the only thing more modest would be to not have any for sale signs at all. Is that what you would want to see? No signage on for-sale property? Cause this is about as unobtrusive in terms of size and placement as you can get.

Anyway, I live in No, and there is a little Impeach Bush colony out there which I hate. And there are quite of few plots for sale with the little 3x3x3 boxes on them. I don't mind them at all. They are night and day in terms of affecting my view from my property and affecting land prices in the area.

Is this the future of SL, now there are signs from others collecting around Lazarus's?

What is wrong with the people who want to crap up this world with this garbage?.

I am not for banning them, or taking the stuff down, but I am for publicly shaming them.

Everyone has the right to say or build what they like. Thats one one of the reasons I love this game. If I wanted to be in a politically correct completely censored game I'd go back to playing sims online or There.com.

I feel like Alice in Wonderland.

Let me spell out how I see the issue.

1. The fact that he has built ugly signs is not an issue.

2. The fact that he has chosen to put a political message on them is not an issue.

3. The fact that he is selling these tiny plots for extortionate amounts in conjunction with point 1. *is* an issue. It the becomes a matter of building ugly signs in an attempt to get people to pay ridiculous amounts of money to stop the nuisance.

That is not a matter of free speech or building aesthetics or indeed ANYTHING except simple extortion.

I agree with Selador, and will add that this causes land devaluation, and makes it difficult to sell it for a fair price.

This is going on systematically all over the grid, which very much changes the whole "game" of buying, owning, and selling land to something very unpleasant, unrewarding, and unsatisfying.

Since land is a huge part of the game, allowing someone to single-handedly turn it into a game of extortion and intimidation pretty much makes SL moot.

This is not just the future of SL, it is the past and present of SL as well.

This can't be an accident. It is a deliberate decision to have an audience that has to be exposed to displays whether they like them or not if they are to use SL.

Linden Lab is not planning on getting a million users all little land owners who enjoy building and scripting. They want an audience for the ads they hope to get from big companies.
