Tomorrows patch does not to my knowlege include the P2P teleport feature.
That feature is still in progress, testable in the 1.8 preview grid.
Perhaps before you go, you should try downloading the preview client and seeing what you think about it.
There's bound to be a way to make some some money off the new system when it does arrive, perhaps you and your friends could take advantage of new opportunities it makes possible.

I just spent 40 grand on a spot at a telehub now people can just warp anywhere I will lose the traffic I would be getting. Well it maybe not out tomorrow but still man I know a lot of people worked hard will lose a lot this aint fair at all. Thats like owning a buisness downtown and then the city removes all the roads to it.

Ouch... That sucks, but I'd at least try to stick around a little bit, after all, your regular customers will still shop at your place, and you can also use word of mouth to get people to shop at your place. BTW, what do you sell? Next time I am on SL around Thursday I'll swing by and check your place out.

I don't sell really I sell hosting. and I offer free hosting I'm dedicated for people who pass by to donate and such and I was going make area look nice. But hey now they can skip it. theres a diffrent of people who want to go there and have to. and I paid for the telehub spot cuz they have too. even private sims on the main land will lose a lot. They pay more for a spot on mainland cuz theres a hub right there and now its worthless.

Perhaps you should just call the $150 a lost cause and move on.

Everyone will have immediate access to your place, and anything that drew people without p2p will continue to draw them after p2p. What's the big deal? There won't be unhappy people waiting to see things rez before they fly off - is that so bad? P2p has been discussed for quite a while - we will all benefit from it.

Some people are not the most honest when it comes to selling their telehub land, figuring not enough people read release notes or message boards... May I ask where this land is located?

As much as I love the idea of no telehubs (No offence meant or implied, Kane), I really do symphasise for the folk who shelled out for that land. I guess it proves true that when someone wins, someone else looses. I just hate for it to be a nice guy like you.

Well it maybe not out tomorrow but still man I know a lot of people worked hard will lose a lot this aint fair at all. Thats like owning a buisness downtown and then the city removes all the roads to it. Sounds like someone doesn't want to work to earn their L$ and by work I mean to actually advertise and improve the quality of their build instead of relying on their location for traffic. As for the comment about owning a business downtown, its happened. I saw a business still as busy since they day they opened 100 years ago have something similar happen. Great italian resturant, practically a local landmark in that town (high traffic town and location too), be forced to relocate because the Mayor wanted to build a centralized Firehouse/Police station on top of it (can we see the flaws in that plan?). So ya know what, it happens all the time.. IN REAL LIFE and they spent more RL cash over the course of 100 years then you'll ever spend in SL. So get over yourself and actually work on your business like the rest of us have been. If you wanna cry about it and threaten to leave then leave. You'll never earn any of that money back that you spent and the land will be put to good use by those who aren't lazy.

As a SWG player up until the BGE, let me say this is NOTHING like what SOE (well lucas arts technically) did to swg.
Now tell me tho, why did you pay so much for your telehub land, and in what time frame did you expect to make your moeny back?
Because if you bought it simply bacuase it was worth a lot and you thought it would be worth the sme or more in some future date, well then, welcome to the pitfalls of land speculation.

But thats not the things just many others did and have done this. People tell me to work for my earnings. Well people buy and sell land for ages and I did work 40k to get a nice spot at a telehub where people would fly and low ping area low prim area. I see lot of hate comments here considering theres many others who are in the same vote as me. I mean think about what this will impact the renting at telehubs and other things. It's a big sdvertisment when there flying from telehub over your land they may see somthing that catches there eye but now theres no need to even look. I actualy had a blank plot of land even people stop by to say nice lot and stuff and what you making just from it being right there. Don't tell me nothing will change.

Kane, all the info here you learn from reading the SL Forums and related sources will benefit you a great deal. When did you buy this land, and was it before or after the Linden announcements were made? Also, have you given Preview 1.8 a spin yet?

From: Kane Kent Thats like owning a buisness downtown and then the city removes all the roads to it. Uh, no, it's nothing like that at all. No access is being limited. With no roads, as in your example, no one can get anywhere. With P2PTP, anyone can get anywhere. Perhaps a more apt comparison is that you've built a convenience store and gas station beside a highway onramp, hoping to capitalize on the heavy traffic, only to have the highway department close the onramp and develop higher-bandwidth streets in the immediate vicinity that obviate the need for highway access. I sorely hope you didn't recently spend L$40k on telehub land. Even the most cursory examination of recent events would have yielded the shakiness of telehub value in light of possible changes. If you bought ignorant of that fact, I'm afraid no one is to blame but yourself, for failing to thoroughly examine your rather hefty investment.

From: Kane Kent shark 4ksq infront of the telehub. Standing on your land now, boy did you get ripped off. Nothing around but for sale signs in the neighboring sims. This land is FAR from high traffic. Since you don't have anything built yet I suggest you figure out a good design for it and setup a landing point on your land. And prepare to advertise. If you were planning on building a mall I suggest you make it a REALLY good one because no one will visit you otherwise with "mom & pop" stores poping up on 512m2 and 1024m2 plots. If you have a landing point set on you're land chances are you'll get more flyby traffic. 1.8 is still a preview so better get cracking on that game plan.

Definitely do what Ron said, get a game plan for that land. And definitely get the 1.8 preview.

From: Talon Lardner I guess it proves true that when someone wins, someone else looses. It proves nothing of the sort. It proves that failure to thoroughly research your investment before making it is a certain way to flush your cash. No one needed to lose here. Telehub land is still perfectly usable, very nicely flat land. There's still value there -- just not the surefire, miserable, enforced value of a needless traffic funnel. Cry not for the end of telehubs. If blacksmiths had had their way, I'm sure we'd not be driving around in rubber-shod, metal deathtraps today. Nothin' wrong with horses, right!

God forbid we plan to make a profit, Ron, when excuses are made so easily. In any case, that's a good plan, but you're wasting your time. If someone is looking at Second Life as a "Make Lots of Money Game!" they're not going to be interested in business planning, competitive awareness or any of the rest. They're going to be interested in making the token effort and then having the game give a reassuring pat on the back -- in the form of fat loot! Second Life isn't a game, folks. Don't believe me? Look how much money you lose when you go off half-cocked. Calling this a game is going to become some dangerous shit for people who don't understand the very, very real risks involved,
