I'll get you one if you promise to use it at least once.

I have absolutely no interest in prim genitalia. Therefore it would be a complete waste of time. There are better things I can do with my time.

I have been to various 'adult themed clubs' and they just don't do a thing for me.

Avatars are created with neither.

Prok was not banned from Stratics. He was from here, though.

Another reason why Stratics sucks!

If you choose to.

Exactly the same as choosing which forum you want to visit.

I looked at some. They were disturbingly talkative and repetetive.

Come to think of it, this is another paralell. So which of SC and stratics is the girl?

People seem to have a difficulty because I am associated with it - and are therefore "throwing the baby out with the bathwater" instead of giving it an opportunity and even looking to see if it's suitable for them as a replacement.

If ignoring Stratics because I post there is a problem... why isn't the fact I post on SC a problem to them as well?

Lewis

I'm ignoring Stratics because I used to mod/admin there for another game, and I get this strange feeling that the same watered down posting rules "What if the chillens is watchin!" will go there as they did before.

I like being in an all adult community and the rights that confers. If I want to throw down with some heavy sexual innuendo, dirty jokes et al I don't want to be "Moderated" for it.

I didn't mind with other games since they were mixed environments. But HERE I'm amongst adults.

SC has balls the size of a small planet... so it must be a boy.

Well you could perhaps just check it out and see for yourself.

There is also the thought that if you can't say it without swearing, it's probably not worth other people reading.

There's an obvious joke in that but I will refrain.

Well, I am posting in Stratics, as well as in several other forums. You guys are babies to keep trying to say Stratics is bad (except for those of you who have actually been there and formed your own personal, legitimate opinion).

It reminds me of various TSO people who decided SL was bad without trying it.

There are a lot of forums, each with its own flavor. I think everyone who is interested in knowing what is going on should try them all (if you have time), and then post with a few. That's what I did before the discussion forums closed, and what I'll continue to do.

I posted on Stratics as "Cocoanut" when I was in TSO, and also on the SL Stratics boards after they opened. Last night I made "Cocoanut Koala" there, and that is what I am posting on the SL Stratics boards under.

I was one of them.

Then I decided that I ought to at least try it, to be sure.

I was wrong.

Now I've been here nearly a year.

Don't plan on leaving either.

I urge people to check out Second Citizen or SL Drama for alternative forums. Both are far superior to the crap being peddled here. And yes, it is peddling.

hmmm sounds like a good reason to stay away from all of them actually

1) Unmoderated - or badly moderated - forums don't fulfil any useful purpose.

2) Game companies don't listen to their playerbase.

3) Blogs are no replacement for forums.

4) SL has more lag than anything else I've ever tried playing.

5) SL has fantastic potential, which remains untapped as long as people think it's only about sex and money.

6) SL needs much better marketing.

Thanks, but no thanks. I lurked the stratics forums for about a month and found it pretty much barren and what was there wasn't really to my taste. Much in the same manner I found secondcitizen wasn't, I may lurk there, but I doubt I'll ever be posting.

I'm guessing it'll be blog surfing {SL Blog, pxp, secondlife insider, and slog (if they ever start posting again, poke poke ^.^ )} and Cristiano's SL Universe forums (as he is one of the very few admins I've found trust worthy) or Kyrah's SL-Forms.

Or could actually work on SL projects more, *eyes the big Caledon Project* or even carry on with something new entirely.

Example, this seems to have a great deal of potential as perhaps a alternate 'metaverse' Uni-verse. ^.^

Any forum is only as good as those who post there.

Perhaps you should try again, post a bit, start some threads, and see how it happens. There may be 100 people lurking, waiting for someone else to post to make it worthwhile being there. Until one person starts, the others wait, and they all give up because nobody else is posting - yet they didn't help the problem.

Or, perhaps Stratics has been around long enough and pushed long enough that if it isn't rolling by now... it never will be.
