What makes even more sense is that the reason females have all of the clothes, AO's, or whatever else have you in SL, and males have nothing, is because ... we are the only ones in SL that have every skill. We are the only ones that can script like pros, build like pros, and god knows we're the only ones capable of designing clothes and making animations.

Stop it with the complaints and excuses and dress yourselves.

Personally, I think guys look fine in SL. Although I'll not deny that we have a greater variety of fashion and that more fashions and accessories for guys couldn't hurt, I nevertheless still see quite a few guys that put forth the effort and dress very nicely and have really nice style.

I'm sorry guys aren't women, you'll have to take it up with god on that one.

And I am so glad you aren't Nimrod.

God did just fine trust me :)

Still, there are some areas in which you could use some fine tuning ...

... and we're working on those :D

Anyways. One good male walk, if not complete AO, is the Abranimations "Guy Normal". At least I like it.

But what would be the difference between a man and a woman if we didn't need tuning? :p

Make your own darn AO if you don't like what's out there.

That makes perfect sense considering everyone in SL has every skill. We can all script like the pros, build like the pros, and god knows we're great at making animations. If you don't have something constructive to post here, please don't post.

I think this was quite constructive advice, and the kneejerk reaction was completely unnecessary here.

You don't need to "have every skill" just to put together your own AO. All it takes is simply getting free, pre-built ao script like ZHAO, then buy individual poses you like, drop them in the device and edit single notecard. These are far from "every skill", and if you don't know how to shop in SL, drag items into prims and read clear instructions contained in configuration notecard, then i'd say you have far more pressing problems to deal with than just lack of suitable AO -.o

Hey I have a novel idea for you ... instead of complaining about what you dont have and how we have it so much better than you, why don't you start designing clothes and accessories for yourselves?

It's not like females are the only ones capable of using PSP and designing clothes in SL is it?

Must we do everything for you?

GASP!!!! Making clothes!!?? Isn't that sort of like sewing? You know, like the kind of thing "girls" do? Geez, I can't go there!!!!

Toorid Midnight: "I don't want to hear there aren't enough choices for male clothing out there".

And you're a female, right? Just because there are a number of shops you can name doesn't mean anything. You're not a guy, there's no way you can come and say this and think you're right. You can't speak of behalf of guys since you don't shop male. Even if you shopped for a male, you'd still be hard pressed to say that.
The difference between the amount of female shops to male shops are terribly lopsized and no one can deny this.

Personally, I have a large wardrobe but I have had to shop very long and very hard to put it together and rarely do you ever find more then one or two items worth buying in one place. Good men's shops with a decent to large selection of clothing are very scarce considering the size of sl.
I think I've had to shop four, five times and more, then a female would to accumulate a decent size wardrobe.
You have women's shops everywhere, unlike with men. And no, not all males want just t-shirts.

Good individual anims are also hard to find, it's not about being able to put together a ZHAO.

I disagree on the first statement. Good INDIVIDUAL anims are plenty, really. Just browse the big stores.

Hasn't been my experience is all, and I have browsed the big stores, naturally. Even went back and had another go.

I suggest Outrider Animations.....Zach has a decent line of male poses...and yes they are made by an actual male.

I got my walk at Reverie, and it's not too bad. I have yet to find any male "stand" animations that don't suck though. I'm still living with the defaults.

My best advice is to buy $50 worth of Lindens, open up your apperance settings, click the button over to "girl", and knock yourself out with the new shopping options. ;)

This is precisely the reason I created a female alt. The dearth of decent male content lead e to play her almost exclusively until recently. Things have begun to change for the better and I'm starting to come on as myself more. I've found some nice outfits at Pixel Dolls in the Pixel Chap section and a few other places (sorry, can't think of the names atm).

As for an AO, I use the Maximillian AO from Johnny Dusk's store. 5ith something...always forget that second word. Anyway, give that a try.

I wish more people knew that /1 ao on/off works too! >_<

The HUD based zhAO solves that problem nicely.
