Just a note from a minor, uninvolved player here.

I currently pay 1021 USD a month in tier (for five sims and a business).

I am well aware that with three bad lines of text I could ruin everything, and send all of my customers screaming for the hills.

Most sim owners have similar financial incentives not to be on the wrong side of a conflict.

Crazy huh?

But the game doesn't 'cost' me, I make enough to cover that by renting land in my sims.

It's a huge hobby of mine to make them the best area that I can.

I have been evicted by my landlord whithout notice. I am now at war with this "person" [edited] as he will not reinstate my tenantcy. I have lodged a formal complaint with no responce.
My question is how can you purchase anything with cofidence in SL if it can be stolen from you without any retrabution?

I got shafted by two landlords in a row, which is why I upgraded to Premium and bought my own land -- renting is not the same as owning your own land, dear. Get your FIRST LAND and no-one can take it away from you until LL goes out of business.

It's actually everybody beware. We have no rights as Second Life residents.

Of course we do, We have the right to remain silent, if we give up this right anything we say and do can be used against us in a kangaroo court forum =P

Hey at the end of the day it's only a game but it makes me wonder what these people are like in RL, they seem to have no morals or ethics in SL.

Well, it comes down to more than trust: It's reputation.

If you begin playing sillybuggers with your clientel, people hear about it and avoid you if possible.

'Course, they have to be able to be identified, but I'm just rambling...

All of us have problems from time to time. It does not appear to be that you have stated your case very fairly. You have not mentioned that you leave your property (trucks) scattered over land that you are not renting. So while someone in SL is not respecting your rights from your viewpoint, you are not respecting other peoples rights in SL either.

What we really need IMO are better tools for mainland land owners and tools for anyone to use to deal with unsightly builds/objects.
