Hiya,

Just wanted to add my thanks and say what an amazing few days the SLCC proved to be.
A total privelege to be with and around such amazing like minded people.

Fizik, my friend,

I can't thank avalon. and you enough for your support of the event. It was truly overwhelming. Our primary sponsors, avalon., ANSHECHUNG.COM, and Linden Lab were all absolutely wonderful in their level of support of the event, and lovely people to boot!

You presentation was, in my opinion, the best of the day. That may have something to do with it being the end of the day, and that I wasn't having to run around non-stop, but it was awesome! It got my brain percolating with new ideas and showed me just how much thought you and the avalon. team have thought about SL's near future, and long term goals.

The women were swooning over your voice. :-)

Regards,

-Flip

I stayed 'till the very end, and I liked the presentation as well. Could you point out where online it might be? I know you didn't have much time to summarize it all, so I just wanted to see it again.

The only thing I regret is being too busy talking to everyone and not buying you a proper pint of stella. :)

Thanks to everyone to put together the SLCC and to all those who came, I had a fantastic time and got to meet some fascinating and wonderful people. I am very much looking forward to the next one! Thanks to all the panelists that braved the stage to talk about what they do, it was a wonderful insight to the part of SL you rarely see.

Now that everyone is back, who is gonna start the official SLCC picture thread?

I believe Hiro started one in the Gallery, there's also some photos in the other "About the SLCC..." thread that Fey started. :-)

It was great to meet you and Nephilaine, Neal, you two were definitely as well dressed in RL as you are in SL! :-)

Regards,

It was indeed a great time, thanks for everyone who came out to support the SLCC, especially the hard-working organizers, volunteers and sponsors. Hopefully see you all next year. ;)

I've been speaking to lots of people who went and have heard nothing but good things. Bodes well for another of this kind in the future. :)

chiming in..

Fizik, the avalon. presentation was fantastic and inspiring! i liked how matter-of-factly it was presented, while using examples that were visual stimulating at the same time.

also, may i say.. it was a pleasure to meet you in RL! not to mention, how someone of your standing is really just "one of us".. and your respect for SL, while not surprising to me in the least, is something the community would do well to take to heart. both in how we perceive business and how we enter into it.

Fizik

Fizik,

It was such a great privelege to meet you as well. You were definitely way more of a witty, down-to-earth, cool dude than your reputation as a business and marketing mogul might imply.

Seeya in world!

Me Too!! :D

Maybe LL, or whoever is planning to put it on next year, should start taking Bids for location, like the Olympics. I'm quite sure I could sell Vegas.

I'd vote for SF lol less hours in the car, but Vegas would be a close second.

Big ups again to everyone who participated in SLCC. I like the idea of Vegas for the next one. It's more central to the U.S., hotels are a plenty and flights are cheap. Although I'd also be willing to take a swim across the big pond to get to SL Eurocon.

Those of you looking for pics: Check the Herald.

That was indeed a great time all around, and it was a right honor to be there. Looking forward to the next one.
