Forsetti, I started to answer that question when Weedy asked it earlier, but decided it wouldn't do much good to go down memory lane about it all again.

I will answer you, though, by saying that we are talking about these forums, not a meeting you were at yesterday, or anything else.

And now I'm off to the museum with hubby! He has to see it for his grad school course, and his school (where he teaches) got him two free tickets! And it's even for something I'm gonna love! Andrew Wyeth exhibit!

Just read this thread - and it's easy to see why all this came down the way it did in the past.

Because - it takes two to tango.

But in this case, it took more than two; it took more like at least twenty to one.

Y'all are still tangoing with dog pictures and whatnot, even though your opponent ISN'T EVEN PRESENT.

And that's because - you actually love the dance.

I'm really missing this. I just reread teh entire thread and I couldn't find anything so bad or anything that wasn't true.

If there are bad things said, I think the correct course is to report the specific posts and then just reply to the ones that are on topic. Putting all the posts in the same category does not help.

The dog pictures I thought were about protection. While not relevant, they weren't demeaning anyone.

And the whole point of the thread was whether to discuss banned people. Your statement proved that it isn't a good rule of thumb. If we can all rise above the negativity and focus on the subject, even when others fail to do so, we can discuss this the way Robin intended us to.

well it's not really memory lane is it?

you still get treated poorly and there's still a really hostile environment spewed out by your buddy towards aimee. Ongoing problems.... although of different magnitude I feel.

I don't really mind when your bud insults me... but this thing with aimee seems to be at a whole other disturbing level.

you don't want to hear it

Enjoy Andrew Wyeth. I love him. I hope they have some of the Kuerners paintings there. Gorgeous.

I'd prefer we don't have quoted text, puppet text, or links. I don't go cruising banned posters' blogs, and I really don't give a shit what they have to say. They were banned for a reason, and unless they've undergone some therapy or seriously personality-altering life experience, those reasons stand.

If others want to go seek out the drama and insult and outrage that was banned from here, that's their own business, but there's no reason to drag the turds back in here other than to stir the shit.

A-men.

The only people who still talk about the banned are the ones who want to bring them back and the ones who still need them to 'be the bad guy'. Neither behavior is healthy.

But please, folks, let's not get Cocoa back on her martyr kick, hmm? I dunno bout you, but I'm really very tired of the pompous bombast.

That's just crazed, Enabran.

Well, Cocoanut, it's good to know that you are the arbiter of feelings of safety. Thanks a lot! I'm sure no one feels threatened now.

100% agreement here.
