How Many Items In Your Inventory

Spurred on by Willow's great article on organising your inventory, and because it seems like tens of thousands of inventory items is more normal than I realised, here's a poll. I figure it would be interesting to see what the average inventory level is.

Ive dropped 5k in items just since I read the article YAY me!

I only have about 6,000 things in mine ... I am starting to feel frugal

I went with 10001-20001, but I have just over 10k. About 10400 or so. That's with all the clothing I've made, and copies of the boxes too. Obviously I don't shop much.

YAY after my 2hour clean out i'm down to under 40k, but only JUST lol... thats even if my inventory loaded right, when I logged in today it said I had over 48,000 but I haven't had over 300 items given to me overnight lol.

I know my inventory is in excess of 20k items. I do a fair bit of building so I tend to do incremental backups as I'm working as well as keeping copies of old versions of builds, backups of work done for clients and alot of other stuff as well as my rather large collection of av's.

I've tried pruning my inventory down before but there really wasn't much I could clear out.

It says I have ~15,000 Items. Unfortunately ~ 15% of those item are 'not found in the database'.

(and I thought my signature line was obnoxious....)

I voted fro 1001 to 5000... but I have only been here less then a month. So, I am not sure how helpful that is.

I voted 5001 - 10000 but like Jonq that made me sound worse than I am, I'm on 5090, just checked! But I haven't cleaned out in ages, it usually hovers around the 8000 mark I think.

Clearly, I need to do more shopping.

I think I'm at about 7,000 right now. I archive every now and then.

I also think the inventory count counts your Library folder too--altho I haven't confirmed this.

8k and i've been here for almost 2 years. I think I'm not doing too badly but I could improve, I'm sure. I am a neat freak so keeping my inventory under control is really important for me. I may be a little compulsive about it. <.<

I went through ALL my textures one night and threw out a ton of them that didn't tile well or were just ugly. That reduced alot. The other thing I did to get my inventory somewhat under control was to put all my photos in one box, all 1000 of them. I store them that way. Landmarks can pile up too, most vendors but them in folders with their products. So look for them in there.

I'm going to go read Willow's thread now.

Can she get rid of things faster that she acquires them? Thats the question..

Hey! Does anyone know when it tells you how many items you have, does it include library items?

I've lost count of the size of my inventory about 18 months ago. Then again, I dont acquire much, I'm pretty sure at least half of it are named 'Object'.
