From: Lost Newcomb Answers these questions or I orbit you.
1. Name of PR company that gave you the go-ahead.
2. Name of the magazine that you represent. Threats tend not to get results. If I get a call back, whilst I will respect tiff's decision not to make the information public, I would be happy to confirm here that it is a known national magazine (assuming, of course, it is). Then it's a case of whether people trust me or not. Lewis

2)Journalists have to be "selective" because we write for magazines which have certain readerships - ie, there is no point in having an 80 year old man talking about his cyber relationship if it is going to be read by young women in their 20's - readers like to read about people who are similair to them.
Reminds me of the story of the rich 80 year old guy who got a 20 year old girl friend. His buddy asked him how he did it and the rich guy said he lied about his age by twenty years. His friend said, oh you told her you were 60? Rich old guy said, nope I told her I was 100.

Lewis Lewis, how do you know she's for real? It could be some dork who got a reporters name, made a hotmail account and posted her cause he's writing a school report on SL... xD

From: Lewis Nerd Basic PR rather than journalistic skills.
I saw a contact number given, called it, left a voicemail, and whilst I was doing that tiff came back and removed that post. That was 30 minutes ago, I think, but haven't had a call back yet.
I've just had the embarrassing difficulty of telling my work colleagues who answer the telephones (in case I am not able to get to my direct line fast enough) that if someone calls asking for someone called Lewis, rather than my real name which I also left on the voicemail, then it's for me.
I'm waiting for the conspiracy theories to do the rounds as to who this mystery female (who did sound quite pleasant actually) calling me under another name. I tried to explain Lewis is the name of a character I play in an online computer game... but I'm not sure they bought the story.
Lewis No mystery, there; the story will be that you're meeting up with some gal you met online whom you prefer calls you at the office rather than at home and whom you've given a phony name to.

I just wonder where all these people mysteriously came from out of nowhere to answer the call to be interviewed.
It's also interesting how there was interest in interviewing me, then all of a sudden the interest disappears, only to get a snarky reply about the board in general.
It's common courtesy, when you're seeking people's help, to call them back even if you don't need them by the time they reply (even though I called in the 2 minutes between her number being put up, and her post being removed).
Most curious. Most curious indeed.
