This was my first time ever "playing" SL. I messed around with my costume and made some coolish lookin ninja clothes, found me a couple swords, strapped'm on, and took to the skies to find me some new hair. And than the world stood still. Naturally I thought it was lag just like any other online game/sim. Eventually my confused fingers lead me here. In my gaming experience, something like this is unheard of. Isn't there any kind of safe-guard to prevent things like this? Will those responsible be banned? I'm not freaking out like some people, but I was having a decent time, and this Griefball stuff is pretty damned lame. Theres nothing to stop a griefer if they wanna do this much damage I suppose.. And yes, I'm sure they'll be banned.. _____________________

This was my first time ever "playing" SL Hi, Arken! Welcome to SL, and I hope you're having a great time. In a world as wonderful as Esselle, stuff like this happens from time to time, but as one of the Lindens just posted, this attack was probably unprecedented in its impact, if not its intent. |

The way i see it, after dealing with MANY griefers, and groups of griefers is that any group that openly admits to griefing and/or is identified as griefers should get banned on the spot. Especially if they are as well known and hated as the w-hats. this crap is getting old, i hope the get prosecuted. they are costing all of the vendors that make real money on SL, they are costing them REAL dollars, and should be held accountable. that crap about it being an accident is complete BS.

It's right out of a Normal Rockwell painting really. The scrappy young boy playing stickball in the street. Oh he has been told time and time againt not to, but the passionate wonder of youth got the best of him, and who HASN'T had a bit of mischief in their childhood. So he hits a grand slam and breaks old man Johnson's storefront window. LOL! An act of folly? Yes. Evil incarnate? Hardly. The constable drags him before old man Johnson and his mother by the ear. "I know a certain young boy who will be working off the cost of that window for the next six months!" And so he shall. So the moral of this story is, nobody should get hot under the collar. There is no need for a lynch mob. Whoever made the "GrieferSphere" should pay LL for any costs in labor and equipment, and pay all the users for time lost. And a talk with the constable (I guess in this case the Feds) should help drive the point home. Then we can all look back on this and laugh. _____________________
