This penis thing puzzles me (No, really !)

In Burning Life right now there is a display of large erect naturally colored penises, one of which (with precise targetted aim) is spraying with spermatazoa a much, much smaller child-sized penis, with text around about "manlove".

How can any other penis be unacceptable, if this isn't, with it's extra hint of homosexual pedophilia ?

The only thing I can imagine is that the distinction is between things made of prims, and things incorporating photos of the real thing. Are the latter unacceptable under the rules ? Did the Satyr penis incorporate a real photo ? Is that the reason ?

Whether you think it's fair or not I'd imagine the attention you are receiving is because you set about seeking it in the first place.

I sense the nature of some of your builds & some of your members behaviour is designed to ellicit a response from the populace and the "authorities", as is your posting here about it, rather than quietly existing, unnoticed, for your own private amusement.

Okay I just found out The group that owns Satyr IS W-Hat, or rather USED to be. Even W-Hat got so fed up with these loser assclowns that they threw them outta the group. So, I say:'LL BAN AWAY!!'

I agree, this is a significant point. You are judged by the people you hang out with, plain and simple, fact of life. The basis for this ever so common situation is that you wouldn't hang out with individuals whose actions you consider to be offensive. I've no idea why you would expect anyone to check back to see that the offensive person has been booted from the group; who has time or cares enough for that? Your groups reputation is your concern, no one else's. Joining a group is voluntary and you do become associated with the behavior of other members of the group.

I would expect that a significant number of abuse reports being filed has led to the attention you're receiving from LL. It really doesn't matter if others do the same thing. If they aren't annoying people enough to report them, there is no reason for LL to take notice.

But then why aren't we allowed to turn around and judge furries/goreans/ageplayers/bestialists for the people they hang around with, instead of just nodding and smiling and repeating "it's consensual!" over and over?

Oh, and you can judge anyone you want to; just don't expect that they will be banned.

We are keeping to ourselves in a sim we pay for. How is that annoying people? What's annoying is people coming to our sim for the sole purpose of ARing anything they dislike. The real griefers are people who play the victim card just to get a chance to AR someone. They seek trouble and then cry grief at every opportunity they get. Has anyone who has accused people of griefing in SL really felt "deep mental anguish" over getting mildly annoyed at an idiot?

I can't imagine being more than mildly annoyed although I'm sure there are some exceptions. But what's the big deal? So you receive a warning, get your hand slapped; why anguish over a little time off from a virtual dollhouse? If you don't like they way they handle things then find another virtual world, or make your own. Its simple right?

You are open to the public; that's the way it goes. You can turn your sim off to the grid but then you'd miss all the attention, I suppose.

I actually found the satyr sim pretty cool. lots of interesting builds, some of which provide an imaginative and amusing comentary on SL subcultures.

Also the guys I met there from their land group, were gracious hosts, and a lot of fun.

Unless someone does something like sabotage the software/hardware, or harass someone over a long period of time, I don't see what the big deal is at all. But it's stupid for people to play "professional victim" and use the SL law enforcement system as their bully pulpit... then return to their virtual house full of bestiality and child pornography. I don't take anyone's "grief" seriously if they're willing to engage in a subculture that eroticizes children or animals. That's not to say everyone that dresses like a furry or a baby does those things, but you know as well as I do that they are incredibly widespread through SLand. You would think one subversive subculture could respect another subversive subculture, but I guess you just can't subvert the subverters.
