I'll start off with mature parcels and naming.



The parcel in question had the words "anal cum sluts" in the name. While this is only visible IN the mature sim, or when searching for MATURE places, it is still against rules!

Let's look at some clever parcel names that haven't been banned:

Oh, here's another:


Said warning (which was actually a suspension) was for an anonymous persons gutted animal. Our sims current theme is a tiki/carnivore build, so a little big of gore is to be expected. Looking at game ratings, most games with heavy gore get nothing more than a teen rating. So why is LL banning people over what is basically teen content in a mature sim?

We own the entire sim, and bought a mature sim not because we're interested in e-sex and porn everywhere, but because we want to be lax about rules and allow people to do what they want in our sim. Get naked, swear, no one will give you shit for that in Satyr, except maybe LL!

However this sort of stuff goes unnoticed in Gorean and other sims. Over in some Gor sims it's totally acceptable to gut and impale a slave woman through her naughty bits (yes, I've seen this happen) because she ran away from her owner. Are rules different for estates? If we sell our sim and move to an estate will we finally be allowed to govern our sim without having a Linden fly in every day looking for stuff to ban us over?

And this is today. There have been countless other incidents where residents of our sim have been given ridiculous suspensions. Not too long ago one person was put on a 2 week suspension for displaying a non sexual image of a penis in the very centre of the sim... completely surrounded by our land, this picture would have been absolutely impossible to see from any of the surrounding mature sims.

I just want to see a little bit of respect and peace. We pretty much keep to ourselves in this sim, and we get visitors coming almost every day trying to cause trouble.

I would have no trouble following rules about content if LL made a list of very clear concise and detailed ones to follow

it seems, frankly, pretty capricious and arbitrary about what content violates even the boundaries of mature sims and what content is fine.

there's stores where you can buy penises and tits, with lots of helpful vivid pictures showing the genitals in question, but lord help you if you make a dead animal that someone has to be in the middle of a sim to see.

And what about attachments? Is walking around with say.. a knife stuck in your back with blood leaking out a bad attachment? I can walk around with a big fat dangling dick, but what about a knife? It's all too confusing.

If they made a good set of rules I'd have no trouble followin' em, and it'd put my mind at ease when making stuff cause I'd know exactly if it was appropriate or not.. BEFORE getting a damned warning after a bunch of people throw a fuss.

This officer of the Satyr land group was banned today, for selling "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" avatars. His vendors were deleted and he can no longer use his account.

Let us take a look at the trademark in question:

So once again we have another great example of LLs incompetence to actually look into what they are doing, and well we have just plain bullying considering they screwed about 5 innocent people in a row, all members of the same group/land.

This isn't anything new... members of this group have been putting up with this kind of bullying for years now, but I figured why not post a thread about it while I still can!

wow a lot of craps happening in Satyr lately. I'm starting to think its a bad neighborhood. o.o i believe i've been there once.. Like 4 months ago. I remember it being acceptable. Like any other sim.

In relation to OP and the Satyr sim, could it be that you have all received numerous warnings? If you have a slaughtered animal and a penis picture, that may get a warning.... but if you have a slaughtered animal and a penis picture after receiving multiple warnings, that probably is the reason. Just curious...

The point is, this is happening to members just because they are members of the same group. If someone recieved a warning for a slaughtered animal, fair be it, but the next person who puts a penis picture around should not be harshly punished because someone else in the same group did something bad earlier.

An individual is responsible for their own actions, not the group. But Linden lab seems to punish alot of groups (particularly the Satyr Group) based on things that they didn't even do. The Satyr group is notorious because a couple of members (who have since been banned I believe) have done some pretty horrible things. The rest of them are some of the most imaginative and creative residents in SL, yet are under constant scrutiny and are harshly discriminated against just for their group status.

The point is moot however, since there's nothing in the Terms of Service that says exactly what isn't acceptible. If picture of penises was a bannable offense, half the sims on the main grid would go offline.

To me it almost seems as if Linden Lab's is going directly against Phillip Rosedales original concept of a "user created world where anything can happen" to a "3D IRC with virtual yiffing" which is disapointing because SL has so much potential.

Not that I am against you, or even playing devil's advocate, because I agree that LL sucks at a lot of stuff.... but it seems that considering LLs involvement and action with the community in the past, why would LL waste time and energy trying to "clean up" Satyr? It just doesn't make sense that 100s of abuse reports go unanswered with no recourse... however, Satyr is a personal target against LL? I dunno... just doesn't make much sense to me. Only thing I can think of is someone using multiple alts is repeatedly sending abuse reports about just about anything in Satyr. And LL doesn't investigate... they just see numerous abuse reports directed at Satyr, so decide to give a random punishment to solve the problem so they dont have to think about it

I went to the Satyr sim tonight to see just what was there that might cause these unfair bannings (assuming such were happening). Sympathetic, you might say.

However, someone there was so nasty to me upon my arrival that I no longer care if they all get banned, or why.

Prior warnings or not, you shouldn't get banned for stuff that isn't against any rules and is being done elsewhere without getting anyone banned. The rule for adult content is, as far as I know, that it can't be visible from other peoples property. A penis rezzed in the middle of our sim won't be visible from anyone elses land.

See this is exactly my point. One person was nasty to you, so you feel the entire group should be banned? The person in question probably wasn't even a member of the group.

This seems to be exact kind of attitude LL has had towards the Satyr Group lately.
