Well done on the new photo system!

The new photo system is outrageously awesome. One time, I speared a narwhal off the coast of a defunct fishing village while riding a jet ski and it wasn't nearly as awesome as the new photosystem. The freezing of time gives me a real "Captain N" throwback, but he could only do it once per episode while fighting Mother Brain whereas we can do it over and over!!! It also doesn't give us any real advantages because he could actually still see what was going on when he froze time, while it blinds us, but who cares because it still looks friggin stupendous! Tonight, when I go to sleep, I'm going to be dreaming about freezing my dreams and moving little sliders around. Normally my dreams lag, but now they'll actually seem faster because of the frozen image occluding my view. I will still be able to hear what's going on around me in my dream, but I won't be able to see the lag. It's friggin genius! I'll say, "Thank you Mother Brain, thank you for this awesome display of ultimate awesomeness that allows me to travel around while missing the sights!" The only crappy part is that I won't be able to email anyone my snapshots because it's only a dream. But that's where Second Life succeeds over my deepest moments of sleep! AWESOME!

when i take a snapshot, i am trying to "capture the moment"

people seem annoyed, but they just arent smart enough to realize that LL is giving us the ability to not only capture that moment, but stay in that moment indefinately

this folks, is progress, adapt or die

if you don't like it, there are plenty of other platforms with which you can use, that don't even have a snapshot function

you have to use print screen

this is so revolutionary, I would expect WoW and CoH among others to allow you to stop time and live that moment indefinately

Also-- for people who don't like the new snapshot system, the Ctrl+` shortcut still works for taking simple pics to disk.

I haven't logged in since 1964, but I couldn't agree more. The added functionality and brilliant interface redesign has helped me in ways I couldn't ever possibly express in what we call "words".

Not for me it doesn't. My keyboard doesn't HAVE a "`" key (I did that with c+p). Instead, I have a funky key that let's me switch between English letters and　日本の文字. For me, there is no keyboard shortcut.

I agree, you guys, the new snapshot light is totally awesome! It feels like I've just met one of the Men in Black--that's how awesome it is!

Yeah, the flash is a tad too much and the page-flip too, altho cute, but damn MAN THE REST IS AWESOME!!

I don't think people realize how COOL it is to freeze the moment and be able to still move your camera, think MATRIX! @__@ hehe
It considerably helps for photoshoots anyways. And being able to resize them can be great for people who are not too used to do it by themselves in a outside prog.

Personally, as I already said, my only rant is the flash and pageflip, and also how the pic gets really blurry, but the fact we can freeze makes me so happy I don't even care about those. I wish we had the option to like, get back to the lower-left corner small thingy, PLUS the new freeze/move.

If you could save the frozen time instant, and reload it when it was convenent to do the snapshot making, that might be interesting.
