Having sex virtually in SL is also a way to share intimacy with special friends you would normally never have the slightest chance of meeting with in RL, even if you were both single and wanted to get it on in person. My Companion lives thousands of miles from me, in another country. Two of my favorite Pets live on another continent, half a world away. The only intimacy I could ever have with any of them is a virtual form.

Of course it isn't as satisfying as making out with a real live person in my own RL bed. But ask any couple who are involved in a long distance romance if the love letters and other 'remote intimacy' are worth more than having nothing at all, and they will almost invaribly say that even a sleasy, non-interactive fantasy in a love letter is better than no contact at all.

Virtual sex, as unsatisfying as it may be for some, is also much safer. No disease, no pregnancy, no physical abuse, no drugs... No looking over your shoulder as you drive home from the singles bar, to see if the creep that wouldn't take no for an answer is still following you.

Well that would get rid of 90% of what's posted in the forums now wouldn't it?

Oh gosh, I love that too. That's also, I recently realized, why I type sop poorly in SL. I noticed that whenever the used the /me tag, my typing was virtually perfect. BUt reglar taklign adn i scerw up wat tpp muhc. FEEE~!! I mean grrr!

Then I realized it's because I'm worried about doing that! Worried about looking like an idiot in a typing animation after the clicky-clicky sound forever who only types a little (due to correcting typos). So I rush to get it out, and spend less time making corrections. With /me, nobody knows I'm doing a thing, so I can take my time and correct things along the way.

When there isn't instant feedback when I type, but instead having the text show up a few fractions of a second after it's actually typed, that also causes me to make errors. more (as you can guess, I generally suffer from low frame rate syndrome. It's ok though, it will go away once I get that Quad Xeon Mac Pro in the mail...unfortunately I can't afford one, so I never ordered one, so I might be waiting in vain).

I think people should do what they want in SL or RL as long as it's between consenting adults.

I wish the U.S. was less up tight about sex and nudity.

In SL, I did a sex scenario once, wasn't really into it, probably won't repeat it.

In RL, I enjoy a whole bunch of sexual scenarios--the main things I don't get into are painful things and things that involve something brown. I would definitely prefer to be in a loving relationship than to have a sexual relationship or a one night stand.

I don't have sex very often because I'm too picky about the types of people I'm interested in sexually. I have some unusual attractions (masculine or hyper-masculine deodorant-free severely-obese guys with facial hair who wear their pants/shorts under their gut and have a look that says "If you don't like the way I look, f*ck you!" which makes it easy to find straight guys that I find quite interesting that I have no chance of getting with, and next to impossible to find gay guys.

You and I see thing pretty much the same way. If you're with someone in RL and having relations (sexual or intimate or whatever) with someone else online, as far as I am concerned you are cheating. I've only cybered somewhat briefly with one person online and I've been with that person for over 6 years now in RL. If I ever catch him messing around online.... he's dead meat....

As lons as they are not hurting anyone, who , how and why someone else has sex or doesn't has no barring on me and who i do where or why has no barring on anyone else other than who i do so it shouldn't matter to anyone else. Make since?

both me and my RL partner love real sex, and very much enjoy sex in real life too.

The real trick in all of this, for us ladies, is to find a guy who does it right in RL and brings it to life in SL (via words, responses, and proper use of pose balls and xcite).
I had one guy ask me exactly what he was supposed to do with his GF in SL. He had read the cyber for dummies handbook and was confused. After I read it I would have been/was confused as well.
I told him think of what he does in RL and express it in words. Describe the actions, etc. It turned out he had a good grasp of the English language and how to construct scenarios... he just needed a better imagination.
However, as one song points out - "how many guys do you know make love?"
Problem is that 5% someone mentioned really only seems to be like 2% because those guys are already at home with their wives unless they are divorced (Thus the other person who mentioned bringing up the ex. Again and again)
It seems the romance is leaving the world and seduction is hot on its heels in getting out of the way for the more lustful "wham, bam, thank you mam." The men who come to SL should use this as a learning experience on how to treat a woman in SL & RL and maybe they will grow beyond the bar room B.S. They need to learn to touch our hearts to see how much more we respond than to just touch on one thing and put a notch in their cyber belts.

I have a couple things to add to bad traits for cyber lovers concerning people who are easily offended.

*dont be offended if your partner takes longer to get there than you. In Real life this happens, why is it somehow during cyber sex it suddenly supposedly doesnt?

*dont be offended if you partner wants to use a sex toy while in the Typing challenged moments. It doesnt mean the cyber is bad. On the contrary since if the cyber is bad they wouldnt want to use anything.

*dont be offended if suddenly the sweet caring person turns into a raging sex crazed slut during the intimate moments. The time to ask her if she was always sweet and cuddly during lovemaking was prior to getting her into bed.

My view on sex......
well I prefer to angle the camera back a bit... not real into close ups... and sometimes the whim hits me to just zoom around in circles... occasionally though.. I just zoom in super close like where you can see as if you're INSIDE the penis.

However, fiddling with the cam is less important than fiddling with with the diddling.

As with SL, of course there's sexual content. In any game/tool/whatever that give multiple users access to communicate with each other online, there's cybersex involved. And as we all probably know, the graphics don't do the trick, it's all in the communication between the two people having cybersex. The visual aspect in its current state with graphics and all, is merely a small part of it. However, while traveling SL, the graphical part is the first we encounter.

I do have problems though with certain fantasies played out in SL which wouldn't see the day of light in the real world. Though some may pose that it's just a fantasy played out between adults, it's a next step to the wrong direction. It's easily forgotten we're talking about a metaverse environment here, that's still in its infancy when looked at the future.
In 10 or 20 years, it will be harder and harder to recognize the difference between a metaverse and the real world. With certain sick fantasies played out by some in metaverses worries me and probably others quite a bit.

As for me personally,I keep my sexlife in the real world. I'd miss the physical intimate contact with the one I love There's too much other stuff to do in SL ...

Great reply Hardmoon. You are not the onl yone that this bothers. I feel sometimes as if I'm the onlyone in SL with no fantasies. Seems everyone has some illiegle or underground kink that they need to vent off in this metaverse. If I want to do somthing in RL I'll do it in RL. Then again I don't want to be whiped or degraded or owned or sold out too either....*shrugs

My SL partner is my RL husband. So, what we start in SL we can take to real life.

As for everyone else, whatever floats your boat. I don't care what you do, as long as you let me watch.

my view in SL is the same as in RL: If it's two consenting adults in closed walls I don't really care what you do.

I don't like or want to have SL because it looks boring, and my Boyfriend doesn't play anyway.
