this is a question that shold be left to the individual not open forum... I met my RL partner in SL... wether or not we had sex, made love, or had wild animal hanging from the rafters gym practice is irrelevent.

I have enjoyed SL, I enjoy RL, and I also enjoy fantasy life and all include the person I am with RL.

As for anyone else they each have thier needs RL, SL or other wise but the only way to get a true forum is to have each and every person tell you why, you compair each and every persons responce and views on the topic and issue a graph showing the top reasons and needs... the thing is is the reasons will change daily as do the actions of the person controlling the human or avatar.

Me I say why even waste the time having this discussion... is it that you want to know or is it to satisfy your own form of voyourism and seek some form of gratification.

*Logs off right after sex and stays gone for a day or a week
*Logs off DURING sex and stays gone for a day or a week
*when ever you meet anyone they know makes sure to tell you they have slept with them.
*wants to know which your friends youve slept with when you introduce them.
*always brings up their Ex.
*always brings up your Ex.
*Stops in the middle of the sex to ask about moving in with you , getting married, etc. (this ones especially a pain during the first time)

That's hilarious. The main reason I can't "cyber" is because I can't take it seriously--it's just too damned silly.

You are the second virgin in SL lol, but then I am not sure I want to be any thing other then a virgin. The creativity in SL I find much more appealing and fun then the thought of "cybering"...by creativity I DO mean building things ie: content....not sex and learning is always a great pasttime.

I do take offense at the "USE" of Mother Teresa in your otherwise amusing scenario...you may have the right to say it but that means you have no regard for someone else feeling you are degrading a person considered to be "Holy" and therefore not to be used for crude jokes. IMHO

In RL, I am married and solidly devoted to my spouse, I have a completely monogamous, hetrosexual lifestyle in RL. I choose to be completely faithful to my spouse in any RL context, and I never date people I meet on-line, no matter what our on-line relationship is. To me, on-line roleplay is completely seperate from Real life. Much as watching a gangster movie does not make me a gangster, watching or participating in on-line erotic material is not cheating. Because I make it VERY clear to any others participating that it begins and ends with the roleplay characters, and never carries over into real life.

In virtual realms, I can do what I dare not do in RL, and can on occasion enjoy erotic roleplay in much the same way as I would enjoy a good book or a good movie. For me, it's a 'safety valve', a way to blow off steam, relax with selected friends, and engage in practices that by inclination I might do in RL if I was not married, or could swap genders, or could be some other species of creature. Occasionally I'll even dabble even in practices that I would never do in real life. But honestly, I don't do on-line sex often. Less than 5% of my online activity is sexual in nature. I am also rather picky about who I will do it with, when I do. They have to be eloquent and able to express emotional scenes well. One word wonders who just click buttons and pat xcite parts won't get anywhere with me, nor will chatspeak or poor grammar.

My spouse, on the other hand, just shakes their head and doesn't see what I get out of typed words and animated images on a screen. For them, if it isn't the real thing, it isn't worth bothering with.

To each their own.

I'd much rather have a warm, live body next to mine as far as touching, sex or making love is concerned...

Cybering and toon sex just leaves me flat out cold. Besides, I don't want the soap opera-esque, As The Stomach Churns, drama that comes with SL romances.

I literally would not be here without it.
