I was looking at telehubs and how that's an attempt at "social engineering" the world by adding a 'feature' everyone hates.
I mean really, it's really just someone at Linden Lab who thinks he (or she) knows what is best for everyone, when pretty much 90% of all SLers hate having to use telehubs.
What other tricks does LL like to play which really aren't helping but just undermining their credibility with everyone?
For example, another 'trick' they like to play: the transactions on the home page which are pretty much fabricated.
I mean really, all that's doing is make me doubt every other number they provide to us.

I rather agree with most of what you have to say. If we agreed on everything, that would be boring and probably disingenuous. Which is why I tend to get a little grumpy when people get uptight when others disagree with them, and start whipping out "troll" and the like. _____________________

I liked the one where they started intercepting pictures that were being sent to Snapzilla, put them on the front page, gave no credit to Snapzilla, then put a weird sideways credit to Snapzilla briefly, then quietly removed it while still keeping said photos. I love that one.

Heh, looks like the autotroll didn't preserve its random seed between sessions. ---- RANDOM SEED Generate a random seed for each autotroll session you wish to open. For maximum consistency, tr_preserveseed should be set to 1. Set flag to 0 for inconsistent trolling. (Note: setting tr_preserveseed 0 may be inconsistent, but the resulting troll is much more amusing as a result) ---- _____________________

This is my favorite trick of the Linden staff, lots of them have told me they like to do this.
When someone who owns property, especially something with lots of little objects, is offline, the Linden staff goes in their house and rearranges things just a little. They might open a door that was closed, or move a pillow from one end of a couch to another. They shift the furniture a little one direction one day, then shift it back the next day. Then when the person comes back online the Linden staffers, in Linden invisible mode, look at their victim walking from object to object making small adjustments, saying in the chat window "I swear I left that light turned off, I must be losing my mind.", etc. Later they can read the person's reports of prim drift in the forums and promise to take a look at it as soon as possible, thanking them for filing bug reports, and getting them to send extra copies of their bug reports and logs and pictures of where all their furniture is to the Linden staffer that works in the office across the hall from them. _____________________

I hear stories about something the Linden staffers do with silk scarves with knots tied in them but I don't guess that is as much a trick as it a technique.
Another things those whacky Linden's do for fun is hangin at the WA and offering to answer noobs questions for a fee. They do stuff like check the noobs balance and set their fee a dollar higher. Nothing funnier than a clueless noob who can't afford enlightenment, running around wearing a box on their head that says "Pushgun Me" begging for a dollar to get help from the Lindens. Also they'll play tricks with the night day schedule, changing the daylight period from 3 hours or so to only one hour; just do this at random and not too often and it messes with peoples heads but they never get caught. _____________________
