I'm a bit concerned - I think LL should concentrate on making SL, the platform, better, not competing with residents.

What a wonderful gift! A recurring bill of $6000 ($2340+membership fees on 20 premium accounts as presented in the ad) every year I choose to keep my gift. You shouldn't have. Really. If this auction gets bid up all the way to the Buy Now price of $10,000, you can be damn sure private islands prices through the SL website will be increased substantially in short order. |

Um, I don't believe PE sold an island for megabucks - I believe a resident of PE auctioned an island, on PE's built in auction system, for megabucks. There is a subtle difference there. Now let's see if any business girls decide to start auctioning SL islands on E-Bay...  _____________________

I think it's an excellent idea, in that it will be a wonderful learning experience for LL. Lets say 5 different real people use the "buy it now" option, and then start to have very serious problems like this or any other big, serious issues... (I was going to link to a bunch of other problems/crashes/downtime threads, but I hope you get the point...)
