hmmm creating your own clouds, not a bad idea...
LL asked me in the past not to post details about my research. Short of a reversal on this decision, or a redesign of the effected systems...
Word of advice, don't get your paw caught in the IP cookie jar.
But LL is pretty cool about this sort of thing.

Well.. as a professional game developper I've had to peek into the video memory before to check if my textures were loaded correctly, number of API call etc. This pretty much means that any texture I see on my screen in SL I can extract to my HD, this would include clouds. It's pretty trivial to do but I'm not too sure I should explain how it works seeing how so much of SL revolves around skinds and texture IP rights. Anyway, I'm not even sure what the SL staff would think of me just posting a generated cloud texture here so. I suppose you can tell I'm new I don't know what's their stance on this subject. If it's alright, I can reveal the whole process or just post some random cloud texture I extracted.

Well, they've put put intercepting textures in the SL hacks so I guess not. Eggy wants to change it to something else though.

A thread was already closed that described how.
