Here are some pics of what I have so far. I still have a few small exterior things to do, the Mr. Fusion etc.. and the time machine stuff for the interior. So far I'm up to 532 prims, four objects total. The interior will make five objects and that alone will be 200 or so prims.

I have my doubts this will ever run but it's been so much fun to build I almost don't care :D

Oh yeah and she is registered now as well. LOL

I've always loved the DeLorean, and especially since the BTTF movies.

Love this build and like Torley says, the texturing is droolworthy.

Will you be adding flaming tyre tracks?? ;)

Thanks again for the kind words everyone!

Like I said it would be great if Cubey could get it to run but I don't know. I'm just going to wait and see what he says.

I do plan on make three versions of this, flaming tire tracks and all! :)

I hope you'll find a way to relink it as I described because that's what I need to get the things moving.

Flaming tire tracks? Sheesh. Time to look up some particle scripts. :)

Lookin great, Ahk. Superb, really superb. If you can figure out how to get the prim count down to where it can be all one linkset, I'd soooo love to have that in the museum.

It's soooo beautiful! BTTF movies are among my favorites ever (I seem to like trilogies -- LOTR, Indiana Jones ....)

If you are ever selling/giving it out, I would LOVE one. Not to drive but to display. Beautiful work!

heres an idea I got from another car: make the entire car seperately linked from the wheels, and have a simple version of the car built over it, all alpha textures (except the wheels) and the seats and stuff in the right place, but alpha textures on them too, you wear the chassis on your AV, then get in the "proxy" car, and it will look and move the same as if it was coded like a normal vehicle.

I spent a few hours wandering around your area about a week ago. What a great place! Your work is top notch.

Perhaps until these beautiful vehicles gain the ability to be driven you could put some nice sit scripts in the seats so we could take photos of ourselves "at the wheel?"

(Especially the tow truck.)

Thanks for the great inspiration!

I say we use it to go back to Beta, but bring the 1.1-1.6 features with us.

Minus 1.2.

It gets better and better, and there's no question that ahk's fantastic work of this fantasy vehicle sets a new high for car modelling in SL -- even if it is "slightly" over 31 prims... hehe. It's funny because yesterday I was showing it off to some friends, and one of them happened to ask:

"Where's the blender?"

I smiled at that magical moment and I replied that it was coming soon, on the way...

If you catch me in a sandbox or a place where there's enough free prims to rez it, don't hesitate to ask me to show it to ya. You really have to see this beauty in 3D and camscan it to get the full effect. :)

Well Lo, see, here's the thing: it's a matter of necessity for me, because as you know, I'm a time traveller by virtue, and separated from my father Torley Sr. who is in a different part o' the ol' spacetime continuum. I inquired unto ahk 'cuz of his mad skillz, wanting a good ol' family reunion... and here we are. Hopefully when the works is "finished" I'll be able to visit my Dad again. (I did get a quick opportunity a few months ago but an unstable TP split the planes and I was again separated. *sighs*) That would be awesome. :) AS A POSSUM.

Muhahaha.

The Model is finished!
03-17-2005 19:42
Well here we are. Several hours of work later...whew. It was a labor of love to be sure. She won't do much right now and I can't link everything together but the model is finished. I had to stop as I was getting burnt out on it.

Don't worry Torley, we'll figure out a way to breach the time barrier, it's only a matter of time....;)

Ahkenatan,

So where do you hang out nowadays? I enjoy watching you at work (its amazing seeing it all come together) and I love your vehicles. I haven't seen you at Morris and I think you had another place, but that is seemingly gone.

Tito
