I've had people try to grief me for 'being furry' because of the anthro avs I have. Then I not-so-politely bash their arguments down especially when I inform them that I am not a furry, I'm a wildlife artist. It's just easier for me to make anthro avatars than regular ones.
While I'm not a big fan of furry antics, I don't see the need to go out and grief people for whatever reason. That just makes me think people are sad. But In a way I'm glad they exist. They provide much entertainment as a punching bag.
