Someone took a snapshot of me and made a bad subtitle of it. I really don't appreciate it. This isn't fair to my character.

And it really wasn't a horrible subtitle. I've seen much much worse.

You could go to SLUniverse.com to view the pics people sent in. It has the senders name on them. Cute av tho, they were prolly just jealous of your cuteness *pets da kitty*

I doubt the subtitle was a mistake. At least now they can't randomly neg you.

Don't want to be the harbinger of bad (but realistic) news: The amount of "anti furry" folks in SL are only going to go up, not down.

For a while, the SL population wasn't on the same 'bus' as the rest of the Internet as far as this goes. But it is catching up.

The proportion of "acceptance" is still really high though, relative to the rest of the net.

Friskles, just remember, when someone does something like that, they're just giving you free publicity—and more importantly, SPENDING PART OF THEIR PRECIOUS TIME+ENERGY ON ~YOU~!

I agree wholeheartedly. The only people that agree with that stuff are of similar small minds and 'bandwagon jumpers'. Neither are worth stressing brain cells over.

Actually, I assume that pic is part of the "war" that Jauani declared on "furries and Luskwood" a while back. (since this mature and witty display of all-growed-up sass uses one of our avs.)

I dont understand why at all but there are large groups in SL that are "anti-furry." It seems to be related to being against sex as well, but there are no groups that I know of that attack or harrass the hookers so I dont understand that either. Possibly logic has nothing to do with this situation.

I had some greifers last week show up (they were dragon/dog looking avatars), who claimed to be furries and claimed to be "insulted" that I called them griefers, but the group title they had showing was "furry vore" which basically means that they like to eat furries for sexual gratification. Given their attitude and the fact that they were dragon or lizard-like, I am fairly sure they are not referring to the "sexy" connotation to the term "eating," but more to actualy ripping furries apart and devouring them.

Interestingly (sadly?) if there were organised groups roaming SL looking for blacks or gay folk to harrass, like as not it would be stopped in a second. This has been going on for a while though.

Not necissarily.

Depends which furry you ask. Some are real uptight about it, and have a novel's worth explainnation of what it is to them. But to most of them (myself included) it's just a fun little fandom to be a part of.

Then there are some who 'kinda thought it was a neat show'.
